Apocalypse Now Redux
Really enjoyed it! The picture and sound were top-notch. Martin Sheen gave a stellar performance. I had seen the theatrical version a few times prior years ago, but this was the first time watching the expanded cut. Obviously, the dinner scene with the French family was a newly added piece of footage. I wish they had gone a few more minutes at the tail end of that scene with the daughter seducing Willard. I also forgot that Harrison Ford was in it. Was the scene where each of them got a turn with the playmate in the helicopter cut from the theatrical version? If so, shame.

Tsotsi. With only tomorrow left in the Academy Awards challenge, I visited the library this morning and found they had this, which won the '05 Foreign Language award. Turns out, it's very compelling and maybe the best of all the movies I've seen for the first time thanks to participating in the challenge.

Carnivale S2 completed. Its too bad some really good seiries like this one,(Rome and Firefly also come to mind), get cancelled way before their time. Just disappointing!

Men in Black last night, and then watched "This Charming Man" short film off 75th Annual Academy Awards Short Films collection. Running out of time, but I'm determined to finish the Awards Challenge checklist!
