Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII
The description makes it sound like it's all gimmick matches so that's what I went with. Not everything is what I'd pick if I were to make a "Best of..." for Taker because I wouldn't pick all gimmick matches. But here's what I had off the top of my head, roughly the same number of matches as his other 3 disc set:
He's the most ominous presence in the history of Sports Entertainment, known for his remarkable "WrestleMania" streak and taking the souls of scores of superstars. Now the Undertaker's most dangerous conflicts are collected in one 3-disc DVD set, "Undertaker's Deadliest Matches". This set includes "Casket Matches", "Buried Alive Matches", "Hell in a Cell", "Last Ride Matches", "Body Bag Matches", "Boiler Room Brawls", "Concrete Crypt Matches" and numerous other brutal bouts.
Disc 1
vs Warrior - Body Bag Match
Old Coliseum Video
vs Kamala - Coffin Match
Survivor Series 92
vs Giant Gonzales - Rest in Peace Match
Summerslam 93
vs King Mabel - Casket Match
In Your House Dec. 95
vs Mankind - Boiler Room Brawl
Summerslam 96
vs The Executioner - Armageddon Match
In Your House - It's Time
vs Austin - Buried Alive
Rock Bottom
Extras:
Highlights of his 1995 year long quest to get his urn back.
"The Man in Black" music video from Wrestlemania: The Album
Disc 2
vs Kane - Inferno Match
Raw
& Big Show vs Rock & Mankind - Buried Alive
Smackdown
vs RVD - Hardcore Match
Vengeance 2001
vs Jeff Hardy - Ladder Match
Raw
vs Lesnar - Biker Chain Match
No Mercy 2003
vs Dudleys - Concrete Crypt Match
The Great American Bash 2004
vs JBL - Last Ride Match
No Mercy 2004
vs Heidenrich - Casket Match
Royal Rumble 2005
Extras:
Highlights of Undertaker sacrificing people
Undertaker's ex-wife vs DDP
Raw
Disc 3
vs Randy Orton - Hell in a Cell
Armageddon 2005
vs Big Show - Punjabi Prison
The Great American Bash 2006
vs Great Khali - Last Man Standing
Smackdown
vs Mr Kennedy - First Blood
Survivor Series 2006
vs Batista - Steel Cage
Smackdown
vs Edge - TLC
Extreme Rules 2008
vs CM Punk - Submission Match
Smackdown
Extras:
A behind the scenes look at a day in the life of a druid
Undertaker vs Pyro
Elimination Chamber 2010

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII
On an unrelated note, I recently picked up a copy of Vengenace 2007, aka the first Night of Champions. Has there ever been another PPV DVD cover that gave away the winners of every match on a show? I know most people will probably know the results before they buy, but still seemed like a strange choice to me.

Was any mentioning of Beniot included on Vengeance 2007? I know that was the PPV that he skipped to kill his family

I thought about that while watching it. They muted out any reference made during the ECW match he would've been in. The only mention I caught was during MVP/Flair when they mentioned MVP had beat Benoit for the US title.

It's not true. He didn't just skip the ppv to kill his family... he skipped it to kill his family and himself. Boooooooo.
But nobody knows for sure what happened that day, and we never will.

Re: Official Wrestling DVD Discussion Thread - Volume XIII
I think there could have been a casket match between the two on a warrior release (possibly return - or i may be mixed up, it could have been a match between the two with a casket at ringside)

And they've shown it on WWE MSG Classics (summer filler show MSG Network and WWE partnered to make) the past few years

The extras for Wrestlemania 26 DVD/Blu-ray:
Plus the Blu-ray verison gets the complete RAW and Smackdown shows from the week before, sounds like an excellent package. Glad to see them putting some nice old school matches.
It would have been great if they put the HBK sendoff but i guess they are saving that for another HBK DVD.

They listed the same feature for Royal Rumble 2010 and North American got that as well (Best Buy Exclusive in US, available all over in Canada), so i assume it will be the same for WM26.
They released it separately from WM20 like a month or so after WM came out. This is the first time it has been include with the WM package.
Amazon.com has finally put up Wrestlemania 26 on Blu-ray for preorder, so looks like the release date is July 6. They also put up Best PPV Matches from 2009-2010 on Blu-ray with a July 20 release date.
