They included Mutiny On The Bunny, but the best of these Yosemite Sam Captain of the High Seas "themed" cartoons is definitely Captain Hareblower, which is not included. As Bugs would say, "Oh well."

Re: (More) Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck DVD's for 2010!!
Hi, got a quick question for someone who knows their stuff. I own all the Golden collections. I intend to buy the double feature movie collection (1001 Rabbit Tales/BB & RR movie) and the stand alone Looney, Looney, Looney BB movie at some point. Do these DVD's have everything that's been released so far? I know the Spotlight Collections have cartoons pulled from the Golden Collections. Are there any other movies, collections or single discs out there I need to look for? Thanks for all your help!

Isn't China Jones which is coming on the Daffy disc a banned one also. Remember reading something about it having asian sterotypes with a Chinese Porky.

Actually, none of the official censored 11 are going to be included on either disc. There's certainly going to be some good stuff there, but nothing earth shattering. For reference the censored 11 are:
Hittin' the Trail for Hallelujah Land (1931, directed by Rudolf Ising)
Sunday Go to Meetin' Time (1936, rereleased as a Blue Ribbon in 1944, directed by Friz Freleng)
Clean Pastures (1937, directed by Friz Freleng)
Uncle Tom's Bungalow (1937, directed by Tex Avery)
Jungle Jitters (1938, directed by Friz Freleng)
The Isle of Pingo Pongo (1938, rereleased as a Blue Ribbon in 1944, directed by Tex Avery)
All This and Rabbit Stew (1941, directed by Tex Avery)
Coal Black and de Sebben Dwarfs (1943, directed by Robert Clampett)
Tin Pan Alley Cats (1943, directed by Robert Clampett)
Angel Puss (1944, directed by Chuck Jones)
Goldilocks and the Jivin' Bears (1944, rereleased as a Blue Ribbon in 1952, directed by Friz Freleng)

maybe Warner heard that I liked "Captain Hareblower" better than "Munity on the Bunny." (It's a possibility, as Bugs was wont to say.)

Like I'm going to buy Horatio Hornblower. lol.
That's like saying they won't release A Wild Hare or My Favorite Duck because they're already featured on the bonus materials. Or like Yankee Doodle Bugs is already on Yankee Doodle Dandy.

Bedeviled Rabbit - ah, a short with a great song by Bugs, giving Taz "Turkey Surprise:"
"Atsa matta, atsa matta, hey! Atsa matta fer you. You eatta my ravioli and my pastapazoola too. You no eatta my cacciatore and my pizza that's good to chew. Atsa matta you no like-a me, well, atsa matta fer you."

I forgot which one was the funnier of the Gorilla/Bugs shorts - the one we got previously (Gorilla My Dreams) or this upcoming one: Apes of Wrath. I don't remember being impressed with Gorilla My Dreams, so Apes of Wrath must be the better of the two.

The Daffy one has a lot of Bugs in it, while the Bugs one doesn't have any Daffy...at least not that I can notice.
The Daffy disc has This Is A Life, People Are Bunny, and Person To Bunny, at a glance. AND The Iceman Ducketh.............This must be pissing Daffy Duck off big-time!

one of the funniest Daffy Duck shorts, Fool Coverage, co-starring Porky Pig, would have been a great addition to the Daffy disc. ("...And one baby zebra.") I am surprised this great short (I rate it even higher than My Favorite Duck) wasn't released yet.

Re: (More) Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck DVD's for 2010!!
As a HUGE fan of the Golden Collections (I just loved waiting for the new each year...sort of became a tradition like the Peanuts book collections) I am not very happy with this downgrade in treatment of these classic cartoons. I certainly understand Warner may be hitting the bottom of the barrel with documentaries/extras but certainly, from what it seeed to me, there were many people interested in doing commentaries for the toons. Also, why not add some of those great isolated effects/music tracks. Heck even a short documentary or two (how about one of June Forray, for example). Also, I think there were enough Bugs and Daffy tunes on the GC sets and Looney Tunes fans would appreciate more discs of, say, Foghorn or secondary characters. Personally, I would have thought a better way to go here woudl have been to mix them up. Seems like Warner is now treating this property the same way they are the Peanuts DVDs.

I missed the first incorrect list before it was updated. Was Bonanza Bunny (1959) or Wet Hare (1962) on it? I'm waiting to get the Blacque Jacque Shellacque cartoons.

Re: (More) Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck DVD's for 2010!!
Some of the Bugs Bunny cartoons only on other dvds as extras:
Hot Cross Bunny............Treasure of the Sierra Madre (Bogart) 2nd disc
Hiawatha's Rabbit Hunt ..The Maltese Falcon (Bogart)
Hare Splitter.................Adventures of Don Juan (Errol Flynn Signature Collection)
The Hasty Hare.............The Hasty Heart (Ronald Reagan Signature Collection)
Yankee Doodle Bugs.......Yankee Doodle Dandy (Cagney) 2nd disc
A Wild Hare..................Torrid Zone (James Cagney Signature Collection )
Fresh Hare...................Captains of the Clouds (James Cagney Signature Collection )
What's Cookin', Doc?......Captains of the Clouds (James Cagney Signature Collection )
"Hare We Go" is on Jim Thorpe All American from the Burt Lancaster Signature Series, but it's coming out on the new Bugs Bunny disc (I thought all shorts were suppose to be first time on dvd?)
I didn't list any titles on other movies that were later included on a Golden Collection.

Personally I'm fine with Warner pulling in some of these outliers into an actual collection. Besides the pain in the butt of having to accumulate all those movies, I'll likely never pull them out simply to watch one cartoon.

Double plus yes to this. It's like a collection of a band's B-sides all in one place.
