Hard to remember that far back. Most likely the individual disc releases of Twilight Zone or Star Trek TOS. Possibly the first issues of The Avengers.

X-Files S1. Bought release week way back in 2000 or so. That was the only season of X-Files that I had until the smaller packaging came out.

South Park "Season One". Which was the episodes on like 4 different DVD sets put out by Rhino. I remember they got 1/3rd through Season 2 before going with themed DVDs. Thankfully Paramount started putting out Season sets.

The first three South Park single disc releases (which were my second, third and fourth DVD). Had a pretty funny-looking collection going there, with just the Tomorrow Never Dies SE (silver cover) and the three South Parks.

Couldn't have answered this without DVD Profiler:
01/20/2001 - Survivor Season One: The Greatest and Most Outrageous Moments
02/03/2001 - Mystery Science Theater 3000: Beginning of the End
02/10/2001 - The Year Without a Santa Claus
and the first entire season purchase began with:
02/24/2001 - The Abbott and Costello Show Vol. 1 (completed the set with the purchase of Vol. 13 in August of 2004)
