Re: What are your true guilty pleaure DVDs in your collection?
It seems a lot of people are listing kind of obscure movies or foreign films and saying it's a guilty pleasure,I maybe wrong but when someone talks about a guilty pleasure I think of something popular or a mainstream release that is cheesy(Snakes On A Plane, etc)or something intended for a totally different audience but that a grown man likes(High School Musical,My Little Pony, etc.)
Not trying to ruffle feathers, but just my thought on the subject!!
As for me my GP's are:
Into The Blue(Paul Walker,Jessica Alba)
The Fast And The Furious Trilogy(well a trilogy until 4/3)
The Rock movies - Walking Tall and The Rundown
Roadhouse
Vacation movies(I know a lot of people like the first one and Christmas to an extent but I even like Vegas Vacation!)
Rock Star
Pump Up The Volume(Christian Slater)

I use certain DVDs to judge peoples' character. If I see Road House in someone's collection I instantly know we will probably be friends... or at least friendly.
Steve: Being called a cocksucker isn't personal?
Dalton: No. It's two nouns combined to elicit a prescribed response.
Steve: What if somebody calls my mama a whore?
Dalton: Is she?

I'm not embarrassed by anything in my collection, but I guess I would consider the two Tales From The Crypt movies (Demon Knight and Bordello of Blood) are my guilty pleasures.

I own Roadhouse and I'm not ashamed of it. But then again, I own it for the Smith/Mosier commentary and not the film itself.

Sliver: Unrated version
Robotrix: Category 3 Hong Kong movie. Look it up on Google and you will see what I mean.
Eden: The Complete Series: A young Barbara Alyn Woods (Deb from One Tree Hill) as a rich sex-starved millionaire widower. Anyone familiar with this show?

Not Another Teen Movie, I have no idea why I find it to be so hilarious, but it never fails to get a hearty laugh from me.

"Guilty pleasures" is in the eye of the beholder. All titles and genres are open to bias. I buy what I like and couldn't give 2 cents what a guest will think about what's in my collection. In fact, I'd rather they'd despise what I got so they won't want to borrow any.

Silent Rage with Chuck Norris. My Dad had a collection of Very good and some bad martial arts flicks...and this one...well this one has it's flavors...

Please read my posts in the thread, people are totally missing what I'm looking for here. And your last sentence just makes me sad. It's the total opposite of me, there is nothing I love more than having people over for movie-nights & letting them borrow stuff. I love film & I love to share & turn people on to new stuff.

Oh I agree with Silent Rage. Overall, it's a terrible movie, but I love it mainly because I'm such a huge Chuck Norris fan. Major guilty pleasure that I finally upgraded my old VHS to DVD last summer.

I think it's mainly nostalgia for me...I loved it when I was a kid for sure. This and Transformers the movie are like the films that Good or Bad I have them cuz I have great memories of them. Well Transformers is the better film out of those two...but seriously....Silent Rage is essentially Chuck Norris vs. Michael Myers.
