WALL-E: 3-Disc Special Edition!

Got mine from Deep Discount and thankfully they are in perfect condition. And I would really like the packaging if the discs were held in plastic trays. The setup is interesting but the cardboard worries me. I was very careful in removing them.

Everything will be just fine with the disc being in the packaging if your not a person that throws their cases around and doesnt take care of their DVDs. I have had it since the day it came out and my 3 discs are perfectly fine..no scratches or viewing problems with them!

The fact of the matter is WALL-E has nothing that can absolutely hold the disc in place. There is no hub, and it can slide at will around the package. If they had just put a plastic hub in there it would've held the disc in place. And the paper sleeve they have holding it in place isn't even tight. The Simpsons Season 11 Packaging comes to mind. There, the packaging is terrible and it is difficult to get the discs out, but at least you know they aren't rolling around or falling out of the sleeve.

Just got back from a week holiday visit with relatives to find my 3 disc Wall E had arrived from Deep Discount. On the good side, no scratches & everything plays great. On the bad side everything I've read here about the packaging is (if possible) an UNDERSTATEMENT. Dear God in Heaven they couldn't have designed shittier packaging if that was their intent. I've got some 3 disc cases ordered from ebay & till then I'm putting them in a spare 2 disc with the worthless fucking digital copy in a sleeve. Fuck Disney and the horse they rode in on.

I am extremely careful with all of my DVDs and take offense to your post. So you are telling me that if I open up a DVD package and the disc is scratched, it is MY fault? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. That assumes the store employees are careful with all of the items they put on the shelf. That assumes that in transit the packages never fall or tip over or anything.

hahahaha take offense to my post all you want because that is NOT what I was saying. I wasnt saying that its your fault if when you open the packaging for the first time and the discs are scratched that it is your own fault. I am saying that if you throw it around after you get it and it gets scratched then that is your own fault. Yes I understand the packaging is not that good and the discs can slide around but it shouldnt even be a problem if you don't throw around the case. That is what I was trying to say. But go figure for someone on this board to be dumbfounded at what I was trying to say! And for your 411 I was talking to the whiners that say "i got my discs and it was all fine but then after a few times of playing around with the caseing it got scratches" BUT I'm not even going to bother with this anymore as its useless trying to explain myself and I really shouldn't have to because people shouldn't be so fuckin' dumb! And I do not care if you or somene else wants to take offense to this post as well and try and fight back with me but go ahead because you will not get a response! I'm through with this topic..I said my peace and thats that so take it or leave it!

You said: "Everything will be just fine with the disc being in the packaging if your not a person that throws their cases around and doesnt take care of their DVDs." [speaking of dumb, last time I checked your isn't the same as you're]. I misunderstood what you were apparently trying to say. I really don't see the reason to resort to yelling and name-calling. I mean, wow. You really feel the need to call me "fuckin' dumb" because you were not clear. Obviously I don't really take offense from someone posting under the name of "hotsexyboi," but was instead exaggerating to demonstrate that I thought what you said was stupid. But I guess I shouldn't be surprised that someone was "dumbfounded at what I was trying to say!"
And for your "411", I didn't see anyone say saying they got the disc fine, then it got scratched. But even if they did, that could be contributed to the packaging and not their treatment of the case. If you put the DVD in fine, then stood it up, the terrible packaging could actually still fail to keep it secure.
You clearly have issues if you take to yelling and cussing at someone over the internet because they misunderstood your ambiguous wording. But hey, you said your "peace" [piece...again with the mistakes] and aren't going to respond...so I guess that makes you mature? Think again...responding like an intelligent adult and not resorting to childish insults would make you mature, not storming off saying you won't bother anymore because people are dumb.

I really hate the packaging. And more so I really hate the ideology behind the packaging. I really don't buy environmentalism as a selling point for anything. It's just a gimick and the consumer ends up paying more. There are a whole lot better things we can do for the environment that are practical and will save money too. Why are they charging consumers more or using it as a hook for a product? That kind of "environmarketmentalism" isn't going to do squat for the environment.
Besides, who the hell just throws away their DVD cases? Why do DVD cases need to be environmentally friendly? I'll keep my DVD's probably longer then my car.

Sorry, it was at a Bestbuy in Canada, but Disney been recently releasing the same English version/covers in both US and Canada.. But they do still release a French or bilingual packaging that is listed on the website, but I've never seen them here..

I went looking for the 3 disc as my daughter received the single disc for x-mas and I wanted to return and pay the difference for the upgrade. Anyway, the local Wal-Mart didn't have any of the 3 disc (or the 1 disc for that matter) and it is not available on their website. The local Best Buy didn't have any of either version as well, but the in-store locator said they did, so maybe they were on some dispaly aisle. The 2 local Targets each had 3 each of the 3-disc (but I didn't want to pay the $15 extra for it). Perhaps Disney is no longer shipping any of the 'eco-friendly' packaging and a normal version will be available soon. All stores had plenty of both BD editions.
