Also, I have to add that the steelbook for Iron Man is just awesome, I love the picture on the back. If this is what we can expect from Marvel studios, a solid two disc right off the bat, then I am glad to see them taking over some of their character franchises.
The two feature length documentaries on there are awesome and I think the only thing lacking is the original teaser and trailers for the movie.

of course it won't help when the next edition comes out with commentary by Favreau and Downey Jr. which i heard was already recorded. but, nothing will top that nearly 2hr. making of which was fantastic and 2nd ever i watched in its entirety (Platoon's doc being the first).

As far as the mir is concerned I always just send in the sticky price tag from FYE. I have NEVER been denied over the last 5 or so years. Also I already sent in the mir for Iron Man and already got the confirmation.

I thought they said they never got together to do a recorded commentary - this was said at that screening with live commentary done in LA. Check it out on Youtube. But yeah, they will double dip when Iron Man 2 comes out.

This is not meant to be a thread crap I would like an honest insight into why someone would buy multiple copies of same dvd for packaging and also why the appeal of things I read when I was 10 to adult men...I wish these movies existed 30 years ago for me... no disrespect meant to the fans...

edit: Looking at your post history, I see you're a Star Trek fan. How is "Dudes in sci-fi spaceship stop bad guys" any different than "Dude in sci-fi suit stops bad guys"?

Wow it sure seems like the person who responded to me with profanity has a lot of anger inside. I liked a couple Star Trek series because it was more like theater w/ Patrick Stewart and Avery Brooks leading...I have seen both perform Shakespears therefore what they did on tv interests me. Also, except for the movies ST was free... and I dont recall seeing the CGI Hulk in many other roles or on stage. I also have since sold all DVD's ..There have been good Hollywood action films without superhero costumes...I was just saying this mostly in regard to those who buy 12 different copies of same film...they have that right and its fine , I just honestly wanted to know why..a good friend collected all the Apes heads and Gollum figures etc..now selling them off and remorseful...maybe its age and 35-45 and 25 year olds see things differently..as for movies with feelings ..being angry enough to swear over this seems like someone who needs to control theirs a bit.
Why do you care? You're in a DVD collectors forum asking why people buy DVDs. Are you doing some kind of Anthropological study?

I wasn't upset at all, or angry. (I see it probably did come off that way though.) Heck, I haven't even seen Iron Man yet. It just seemed a bit threadcrappy to wonder how people could possibly enjoy an Iron Man movie if you're over the age of 10. That's for the movie forum, not the dvd thread (and it still came off as awfully condescending). Also, please use periods instead of non-stop ellipses. It's like reading one long-ass sentence. I'm also wondering why you bother with this particular forum if you don't own or buy dvds at all. I can't imagine you'd be reading that much useful information.

I did not mean to be condescending. I'd rather forget this thread so the powers that be can delete my part in it. Yes, it was an anthropological question to some degree but people are free to like what they like. I rent, but not buy, (that's why I watch these boards sometimes), because there are few movies I want to see more than once or twice. Also, I was writing hurriedly and left out punctuation to finish the post quick. I still don't understand why it was met with another off color word in the last reply. I guess I just have a different perspective as there are a lot of great indy films that never get shown and Batman just rakes in money for weeks. I can geek out like anyone. I am that one person that liked the last X Files movie. I think I just associate some films with being 10 because that's when I bought comics.

Iron Man Silver Mask Edition?
Hi. I was browsing the HMV Canada site and noticed another entry for Iron Man, "Iron Man/ Silver Mask Collectors Edition/2BRD : WDS: LTD: PG on DVD"
http://www.hmv.ca/hmvcaweb/en_CA/dis...do?sku=1253793
I'm thinking it might be a BluRay release and perhaps the Mark I head. Can't be sure as they never updated the picture for the first Iron Man mask release.. Has anyone heard of another wide release mask version?

Ok. I guess I should have expected to just be a repaint of the original Mark III helmet and now called Mark II. Comes in Blu-Ray edition only.. Debating whether to keep it was I already have the Blu-Ray SteelBook..

Anyone seen this anywhere else in the US?

And even then, there could be issues based on how high the helicopter could fly.
