Yes it does come with a booklet.

Those DVD's are Region 2 NTSC. The cost in American dollars for the Live in Japan 2005 DVD is 51 bucks.

Just as a follow-up that sign at wal-Mart says watch out for WWE Superstore.

All the Japanese WWE DVDs cost me 19,500 Yen which is the equivalent of £96 UK Pounds or $194 US Dollars. The shipping cost was 3600 Yen (£18 or $36) and to my surprise I wasn't hit with a customs charge my end in the UK.

I am currently keeping the DVDs sealed however I am able to play DVDs from anywhere in the world due to my multi region player.

I think they will release 3 versions; regular 2 disc, 3 disc tin and Blu-ray.

BullGooseLoony 03-20-08 10:02 PM

I can't imagine why FYE would release an exclusive tin if everyone else is gonna have it in the tin. Unless they have a tin different from the others, which will just piss me off, because I don't really wanna choose. I wouldn't be surprised if they skip the exclusive deal for this one.

I don't know why people consider Amazon an accurate source for release dates... If you pay attention to any news about HD Media, you would know Genius (who distributes WWE) just announced today that they won't be releasing any Blu product until "Late 2008" so until I hear otherwise, I wont be putting my bets on getting a Wrestlemania Blu-ray in May when its released on DVD. Word.

Found "Greatest Wrestling Superstars of the 1980s" today at Wal-Mart sealed for 14.97 CAD. Not bad...

I would imagine that if WWE were to start releasing in a new format, it would start with WrestleMania, much like how WrestleMania XV was the first release on DVD.

Saw this on another fourm I post at:

The Blu-ray version of Wrestlemania 24 has been bumped up to a May 20, 2008 release. The same day the DVD version comes out. Amazon.com originally reported an October 28 release.

DX23 - can you link me to the thread you maintain that has the list of upcoming releases?

Genius to Go Blu in Late 2008; Weinstein to Follow?
Thu Mar 20, 2008 at 01:00 PM ET

After sitting out the format war for nearly a year, the CEO of Genius Products says the company is preparing to release its first Blu-ray titles beginning later this year.

In a recent conference call with investors, Genius CEO Trevor Drinkwater stopped short of issuing any specific titles or release dates, but confirmed that the company will begin supporting the Blu-ray format by the end of 2008.

As the home video distributor for the Weinstein Company, Genius had been among the HD DVD camp's most high-profile initial partners. The company released nearly a dozen titles over the first six months of 2006 (including 'Clerks II,' 'Black Christmas' and 'Scary Movie 4'), before abruptly ending their support without any further explanation.

In light of Drinkwater's statements, could Genius/Weinstein finally be ready to release such highly-anticipated hits as '1408,' 'Grindhouse' and the 'Scary Movie' franchise to Blu-ray? High-Def Digest contacted each for comment, but representatives from both companies were unprepared to offer comments on their future high-def plans.

Nevertheless, Genius' plans for a late-2008 Blu-ray launch certainly remain a positive omen for Blu-ray fans. In addition to the Weinstein Co., Genius currently distributes titles on home video for such other prominent indie labels as Tartan Films, ESPN, Sesame Workshop, Here!, World Wrestling Entertainment, and IFC Films.

As always, we'll keep you posted on all future developments in the Genius/Weinstein Co. story as they come to us.

I wouldn't hold your breath for that one. I believe it was cancelled back in January.

Yeah, don't bank on ever seeing the Macho Man doing business with McMahon... There are tons of rumors as to why, but who knows what really happened.

walked into my local blockbuster earlier today and was surprised to find the first Degeneration X dvd sitting in the previously used section. The only other wrestling there was Armageddon 07. I didn't even realise that blockbuster carried any wrestling for rental anymore.
