Concerning the NEW WWE CD (I believe Vol. 8) coming out tomorrow..........is there any news of what the Wal-Mart exclusive tracks are?

Also any news on exclusives for the Triple H DVD tomorrow besides from WWE.com?

dstrohmeng 03-24-08 05:58 PM

Looking at the Wal-Mart website, the extra tracks appear to be Ashley, Hornswoggle and Santino (I think the title is Italian, so it's probably Santino). Listening to the samples on the site, the Ashley theme might be different than the one on the Volume 7 iTunes release.

Yea, You're right. WWE.COM has the following blurb...

Get WWE: The Music, Vol. 8 at Wal-Mart for these exclusive tracks:
Ashley: "Let's Light a Fire Tonight" by Aiden
Hornswoggle: "Hes Da Ma"
Santino: "La Vittoria e Mia" ("Victory is Mine")

Does anyone know what the deal is with the TBD Superstar title on April 1st from a member Class of 2008 Hall of Fame?

Amazon.com still has it up for pre-sell but still has it as TBD.

If I were to venture a guess I think this will be the new ric flair dvd.

dadaluholla 03-24-08 08:19 PM

For something scheduled to come out next week, you'd think we would have actually heard something more about it (especially considering how long it's been up for pre-order). Is it available on any other sites?

The Monkees 03-24-08 08:34 PM

Isn't Ric Flair all ready in the hall of fame? I thought the new DVD was someone who is new to the hall of fame.

No, he gets inducted on Saturday.

Really? Who else is getting inducted?

It's Flair, Mae Young, Jack & Jerry Brisco, Eddie Graham, Rocky Johnson and "High Chief" Peter Maivia. I had just asumed that the 2008 HOF Ceremony would be packaged with Wrestlemania like it has since Wrestlemania 21.

On another note, has their been any word if K-Mart will be having another package special with No Way Out 2008 and 2007 like they did with Rumble's 07 and 08?

geicos27 03-25-08 01:12 AM

While searching FYE's website, I found this: http://www.fye.com/WWE--Tagged-Class...VVviewprod.htm

Did anyone else see that the Shawn Michaels Ultimate Fan Edition DVD & Rey Mysterio Ultimate Fan Edition DVD are on sale for $12.99 at Best Buy.com?

Yeah, they have been like that for a couple of weeks now and I believe the sale runs through until April 10th or 13th (not sure about the exact date but I know it ends in April).

The Cena on though sold like hotcakes on the website as soon as it was marked down and the only way to get it is in stores.

The Monkees 03-25-08 01:48 AM

That's so bizarre because I think the DVD alone on the site is $30 or so.

So any update on this new Wal-mart display? I won't have a chance to go out until late tonight so I just need to see what I could be missing.

Now It Is Official!

I was waiting for an official word and no B.S. Amazon listing or Board Rumors.... Pretty exciting news for us Blu-ray fiends!

WWE Comes to Blu-ray with 'Wrestlemania XXIV'
Tue Mar 25, 2008 at 09:00 AM ET

WWE Home Video has announced that their debut high-def release 'Wrestlemania XXIV' is set to pummel Blu-ray this May.

Currently the top distributor of wrestling-themed sports titles on standard DVD, WWE (aka World Wrestling Entertainment) has alerted retailers to a May 20 street date for 'Wrestlemania XXIV,' day-and-date with the DVD version.

No additional tech specs or supplemental details have been revealed for the title, although the Blu-ray is planned as a two-disc set. WWE says the full press announcement is due in the coming days, so we'll keep you posted.

Suggested retail for the Blu-ray has been set at $49.95.

Any store exclusives being reported for the new Triple H set?

Anyone find the best price for it? How much is it going for at Walmart?

Update

UPDATE for the US folks

I went to a superwalmart and the cube has t shirts, figure's, the Wrestlemania dvd, and the Triple H dvd. There were no dicount dvd's like our friends across the border are finding. The Triple H dvd was $18.86 and the Wrestlemania dvd was $19.86.

dadaluholla 03-25-08 11:10 AM

Just got back from Wal-mart and we had the same as houshour1996. Really lame cube. Damn you Canadians!

jg352599 03-25-08 12:30 PM

Well looks like another walmart day downer. No massive amounts of wwe dvds here in the states, guess I should of grabbed all that I could in Canada. Oh well maybe walmart will have some a big display next year.

Anyways here is the free poster at fye with the triple h dvd. no rebates but I managed to get mine for 13 dollars. had a 5 dollar fye coupon and used the backstage pass thing. Well if you buy it you get a free poster, kinda cool.

If you buy the set online at fye.com if are a memember and all that good stuff you can get it for 9 dollars or something, but it will take forever cuz of the rebate forms and everything.

Also picked up greatest superstars of wrestlemania, I know Kinda shady, but someone will need it in time.

Where's the cheapest place to buy the HHH DVD in-store? Does Circuit City have any exclusives?

Aces_High 03-25-08 03:59 PM

I went to 4 different Walmarts through the course of the day, only 1 of them had the f'n generic cube with $6.50 TShirts, a set of already released figures on new carding (which were already put into toys) and nothing on the other side.

So disappointed.

I picked up all 3 releases from today: No Way Out, Wrestlemania Superstars, & Triple H DVD set. I'm a HUGE Triple H mark-I would go and get it at FYE for that poster, but I really don't feel comfortable having a poster of a man in his underwear hanging anywhere in my house!

At Best Buy, they actually have those little cards that stick out advertising the Ultimate Fan Editions for $12.99. Too bad for them I already got their last two within the past 2 weeks.

Jman4200 03-25-08 04:02 PM

How much is this wrestlemania dvd at wal mart i don't really need it but was thinking of picking it up for collecting purposes.

#1 - what are these "cubes" that everyone is referring to?

#2 - I agree, aces. It just looks wrong. Safe bet is to go with The Undertaker.

#3 - Picked up NWO '08 today. I'm so glad the ppvs are tri-branded now. This is the first tri-branded NWO available on DVD since '03, and it was a damn good show.

#4 - I really want to get the Triple H DVD, but I'm kinda concerned about the blurring. The Austin DVD was a hit or miss for me, because the blurring ruined both matches with The Rock and HHH, as well as the stuff with Kane and Foley. If anyone could give me an idea of how bad/good it is, I'd be much obliged.
