Can you take the slipcover off the BB disc in store? I'd like to just put it on the theatrical version and buy that since I got the CC bonus disc with the DV earlier today. I don't see that being a problem since both are the same price.

Anybody know if the commentaries are different between the 2 versions( besides one being longer) . I thought they might pull An alexander and release 2 different versions with 2 different Commentaries. (Although Alexander actually end up having 3 different Cuts with 3 different Oliver Stone Commentaires . )

I am having no luck what so ever finding the 3D cover. I went to 2 best buys this morning that showed the had them and nothing. just bought the regular discs. got home, looked online for local store status 3 stores showed they has the exclusive. I placed an order at ach of those stores(not all at once mind you) and waited. first store accepted the order but then contacted saying cannot be found in inventory. no biggie so I hit store #2. order is accepted. ok, now to ait for email #2. waiting...waiting...nothing. end up going to store #3. place an order. never get email #1 but within 10 minutes I get email #2 saying my order is ready for pickup. then wouldn't you know, store #2 emails me telling me my order is ready as well. I head out to store #2. guess what, wrong disc. they say they'll look around because the computer shows they still have at least 5. I'm guessing employees have them since they can't be found. I get my refund and head to store #3. wouldn't you know it, repeat store #2 experience.

Absolutely sucks an entire carton of eggs that Circuit City only offered this exclusive with the Unrated version! I had to buy the theatrical version (my edit of choice) at Wal-Mart, then the Unrated with bonus disc at CC. I sold the Unrated 15 minutes later (sans bonus disc) for $13 to a co-worker, which basically means I invested $5 for CC's bonus disc. These exclusives are becoming quite the increasing bother; I'll never grasp why it's so ever-fucking hard for retailers to include these bonuses in all versions of a given title...

Yeah, but what's the difference between the theatrical and the "unrated director's cut"? Or the "unrated director's cut" vs the workprint?
I only saw the "unrated director's cut" and it had some scenes in there from the workprint, some changed from the theatrical.

I don't see it posted here, so I figured I'd offer it up... Hot Topic is selling exclusive unrated versions which are hand signed by Rob Zombie. They retail for 19.99 and have a sticker describing them. You could also see the autograph through the shrinkwrap.

Was tempted by the Circuit City disc, but glad I came here before I left for my day of shopping. How the hell did they manage to advertise a 20-min featurette as 45? No matter. The Best Buy lenticular is great; probably would have chosen it, anyway. They had maybe 20 copies, most of which had severe rips by the UPC cutout. Four in decent condition, two really good, one of those close enough to mint for my standards. Very happy.

My Best Buy said it had 11 of the 3-D cover, but the employee couldn't find any. When she checked in back, she said that apprently a lot of people asked about it on Tuesday, but they couldn't find it then. I gotta give major kudos to the girl who helped me. She did a great job helping me look for it though... pretty much everywhere in the store and genuinly seemed interested in helping me find it.
I was going to check a few more Best buy stores, but I have given up. I just bought the UNRATED without the 3-D cover. I'll live with that.
