Was going to get this at Best Buy, but that bonus disc at Circuit City is tempting. Will depend, in part, on the quality of the copies I find at CC. Was tempted also by their bonus disc for Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, but all the slip covers had varying degrees of damage, and I didn't deem the extra content worthy of battered packaging. Would help to know exactly what is on the Halloween disc.

And if the bonus disc is included with the theatrical DVD version (which I want) or only the Uncut (which I'd prefer to pass on).

I'm guessing it'll show up at wikipedia. Stuff like that usually shows up there.

I think CC may get my $. $17.99 for a 3 disc set compared to the 2 disc w/ cover...? Yeah, cheaper with more discs wins my vote.

Perhaps if the bonus disc is included with the theatrical cut, I shall buy the theatrical cut at Circuit City, buy the Unrated set with cover at Best Buy, and combine the theatrical disc, the Unrated set, and the CC disc to create the unholiest of unholies...

HALLOWEEN - Unrated Limited Edition 4-Disc Set

Of course, is there an amaray case that can hold 4 discs is the question?

Yeah, I was thinkng that too. The only bummer is that I was going to buy this with Evil Dead and get $5 off at Best Buy.

I'll most likely go CC, but I'm still waiting for someone to post what the bonus disc has on it (probably tomorrow) before making my final decision.

so I went to f.y.e. yesterday with my brother, and their release date bulletin had said Halloween was released on dec 11th. My brother goes and picks up a copy, goes to pay for it, and they wouldnt sell it to him saying it was a mistake that it hasnt been released yet. We go back today (just bc we were in the area) and as I'm browsing the DVDs in the horror H section, there it is again so I grab it and give it to him guessing it was released today. So he takes it and shops around and I'm at the opposite end of the store. He comes up to me and says one of the girls working there comes up to him while she was talking on her cell phone and without saying a word just pulls the DVD out of his hands. He told me he asked her why she did that and she said "it wasnt supposed to be there and I;'m not getting fired so you can buy the DVD early" with an attitude. My brother is very against confrontation but I kind of enjoy it so I walked around the store looking for her and apparently she went into the back. I left without buying anything and called cust serv. and left a msg to complain after calling the store asking for her name. Was I wrong in doing this???

Nope.

Customer service has gone the way of the dinosaur these days. It's one thing to not sell the DVD to you, but to just yank it out of your brother's hands and get an attitude is inexcusible. I don't care how little you get paid.

Good idea. There are amarays to hold up to 8 discs that I know of.

Found one. Perhaps when I go to Best Buy tomorrow, I'll browse before ordering:

I have purcahsed 3 and 4 discs in boxes of 10 for about 4.99 at Fry's. So far so good. I purcahsed 5-10 discs cases through USPlastics and havent had any issues.

It is a free bonus movie packed with Halloween. Total shit. Straight to DVD garbage. I was very displeased when I saw that was the exclusive.

I'll be hitting up Circuit City and hoping they have the bonus disc with the regular rated version...

I was just at Circuit City this morning. They knew nothing about a "bonus disc" with Zombie's "Halloween". I live in Sacramento. No other store had them in my area...

Does Best Buy have a exlusive lenticular cover for the 2-disc special edition? Because the had a few with the lenticular cover and a ton without. Never mind. Reread last page.

The Bestbuy cover is just a slipcover. I only saw the bonus disc at CC (if you can find it at all) on the unrated. So buy the rated version at BB and place the slipcover on it and buy the unrated at CC

I'm bummed. best buy online lists both of my local stores as having the 3D cover one and yet when I hit them both neither one had any. the best part, I just checked again and those same 2 stores still list as having it.

has anyone who picked up the CC bonus tried it out yet? either mine is defective or the run time has been changed. I popped mine in real quick to see what all it had and all it has was a 20 minute interview with Rob and Sherry, Tyler Mane and the girl who played Laurie at Comicon 2007.

I'm bit annoyed I was going to purchase both Halloween and Hatchet over at Best Buy with an additional five dollars knocked off - but guess what - Hatchet wasn't out on display - was to hungry to wait (lunchbreak), going to hope Hatchet is out after work.

But is she licking an ice cream cone? Haven't watched mine yet, but I could live with 20 minutes of her doing that!

I got the CC exclusive, but haven't tried it out yet (I'm at work). That sucks if it's only 20 minutes instead of the promised 45. I saw the holographic slipcover at BB. Looked pretty neat. Hatchet was actually priced at $14.99 instead of $16.99, and it came in a box with a keychain as a BB exclusive. So, I got that and Evil Dead. With the promotion, Evil Dead rang up $14.33 and Hatchet at $12.65.

Great idea... until next year when they release that exact same set with one new, cool extra featue that we all simply MUST have.

If anyone else gets the CC version, please post how the extra disc is. That will basically make my decision for me as to where I buy mine at on Thursday (payday).

Same here. Oh well I thought it may be double sided because of the lack of artwork, but nope.

The bonus disc is just a clear disc? Weird.

Best Buy is looking better and better today.
