Just picked up teh Target "exclusive" Two-disc Deluxe Edition. 2nd disc is titled "Masters of the Heist". So it would seem to be the same disc that Future Shop is offering in the steelbook packaging.

ooh, the trilogy package is cool. i'll definitely be picking it up. dunno exact what's inside, but it's not just three amarays housed in a slipcase like i thought. it is book-like, looks similar to hbo's entourage season sets, but thicker. will probably pick this up later tonight and try to post pics.

Anyone know what's included on the "Masters of the Heist" disc? Is it a doc on the film, or a more general look at a related topic (poker, casinos, etc.)?

Incidentally, the Walmart handheld game includes 7 games: Blackjack, Poker, Baccarat, Deuces, Slot Machine, Guess The Number, and Lottery. I assumed it would just be something they had in stock, but it's actually a tie-in for the film. It's a small silver design with "Ocean's Thirteen" printed in black above the top of the display. It's pretty slick and makes me feel like George Clooney.

It's also packaged the way most Walmart exclusives are- shrinkwrapped beside the actual dvd. (Much like the recent Spidey 3 bonus dvd.) Has anyone ever bought one of these "exclusives", and then successfully returned the dvd without the 'bonus'?

Just curious. I will probably buy the trilogy set and was wondering if I could return this dvd for credit. Perhaps if I explained to the cashier that I've always been somewhat of a sucker for cheap, handheld videogames?

Hmmm. I wonder what Clooney would do...?

Just popped in my roommate's bonus disc and it is an almost 45 minute doc that doesn't have anything to do with the movies. It's about con men. It's pretty well-produced (so far).

Penn & Teller were just on, so it gets a for that alone.

I don't suppose this bonus disc is available in the trilogy sets sold at Target, is it?

From DVDFile's review:
"We begin with a documentary entitled Masters of the Heist (44:02). It’s organized into four sections that describe a confidence scheme, beating the casino, stealing precious jewels, and stealing valuable art. Penn and Teller participate in the first, which describes a Ponzi scheme. We learn that it was named after its creator and it was the first of uncountable pyramid schemes. The second focuses on card counting to beat the odds paying Blackjack and the highly successful efforts by a team of very bright MIT students. I was aware of the team from anecdotes and knew the basic premise behind card counting, but this is the first time I learned about how they operated. Fascinating. Next, is a chapter about one audacious woman who, for decades, managed to charm salespeople in high end jewelry stores in America and Europe to the point that they didn’t notice her wearing an expensive piece as she strolled out the door. The last describes a famous art theft in Boston and the efforts to recover the pieces. It is the longest and the most compelling. In fact, each succeeding chapter is more entertaining than the last."

Anyone know if the Ocean's 11 and 12 HD DVDs are combo discs like 13?

Any word of what the holdup is with the Ocean's Trilogy on HD-DVD? It seems that outside of Canada, nobody has it (including the online stores - Amazon, DD and DVDP).

Guess you're the lucky one since now Amazon has it shipping within 1 to 3 weeks, not the normal 24 hours. Of course, others seem to be getting it so maybe online it's just in short supply for some reason.

Oh well, I hope DD ships it out soon, been looking forward to this on HD.

I was as Target yesterday but didn't pick up any version of Ocean's Thirteen. I will but before I do, I just wanted to verify something. As we all know, Target's exclusive second disc is that "Masters of the Heist" documentary. On the trilogy set, on the back, it lists all the features from each film. Underneath Thirteen, it has the "Masters" feature on there. I was wondering, is this only for Target or does the documentary come with all trilogy sets? And pictures would be great if someone could post them. Thanks.

Also, to the person who asked if they could return the DVD back to Wal Mart, but keep the exclusive--yes, you can do that. I did that with my Spider-Man 3 (got to keep the comic and bonus disc). You just go to the customer service place and give the person behind the counter the dvd. It's wrapped so they should have no questions. The lady I had didn't ask a single question or for a receipt. She gave me a gift card for the DVD. Either way, it was a great exchange.

The Master of the Heist is indeed listed on the trilogy pack, but the DVD inside is the one disc edition. It appears to be only with the Target Exclusive edition.

I might be able to help you out (minus the visuals, but I can always take pictures when I get home).

The outside of the package is the same in the ad. The back is red (as opposed to white on the front. There is a sticky on the back that describes the contents, but that is on with rubber cement and is easily removable.

The box opens like a book, with some shadow pictures on the left and a picture of a playing card on the right. The card has the character's name and a brief description. Underneath that, the box is cut open to fit all 3 DVD's. All 3 are amaray cases and fit in nicely.

Pictures pending if anyone wants me to take them.

Any pictures that could be provided of the set's contents would be very much appreciated...

I have yet to open the set up, as I was unsure if the Ocean's 11 snapper had been replaced by an Amaray case. Thank goodness it has and thanks for clearing that matter up for me, macnorton!

But now I'm a little worried... I purchased the set from Costco which also advertises the "Masters of the Heist" documentary on the outside packaging. Are you saying that this advertisted bonus feature is not actually in the trilogy package? Could it possibly be on the Ocean's 13 disc itself, or inside of one of the Amaray cases? While I have the Costco return policy on my side, it'd be nice to know before I open the set.

Thanks!

Hello, Amazon states all 3 movies are widescreen for the box set. Can you please confirm that all 3 are indeed widescreen? I am pretty sure they are but I would like to be sure before I drop $30 for the set. Thanks!

I will certainly take some pictures for you. Although I won't post them until tomorrow...more than likely.

To answer the second question, I am not sure about Masters of the Heist. I didn't open the Ocean's 13, but I will when I take the pictures.

Now if you don't mind answering a question for me, how much was the trilogy at Costco?

Do you know if/where the "Masters of the Heist" documentary can be found inside the trilogy boxset?

Wasn't there supposed to be 2 disc re-releases for Ocean's 11 and 12?? I thought someone had posted about that a couple months ago.
