My bad. Interesting to see if this is true or not in the US.

db or anyone who works at fye, can you confirm that the eclusive is a steelbook? on the pre-order, it lists it as a "tin" and the associate i spoke with (who actually seemed to know their stuff, unlike most associates) said that it would be a tin with the two-disc dvd housed inside (like the target x3 tin). just wanted to know for sure because i'd definitely pre-order if it was a steelbook, but if it's a tin that doesn't really fit alongside the other items on my shelf or doesn't have the title on the spine, i'm less inclined to buy it and just get it cheaper somewhere else.

That's what I'm wondering. If it is, I'll stick with the Best Buy version. I went to one of the BBs today and they had no info about thiers yet.

The pix we were sent, clearly show that the it's a steelbook. 2 versions. Same content inside.

I can without doubt tell you that our stores will have these steelbooks exclusive in the US, they appear to be the same visually and are indeed the 2 disc SE.

I thought the Futureshop Steelbook was a lock for me, but I might have to give that Best Buy giftset a chance. Will have to see just what the exclusive figure looks like though. I have a feeling it might not be worth it, but if it is I might just have to pick up both the Best Buy giftset and the Futureshop steelbook ... oh, my poor wallet ...

Poor wallet indeed! I pre-ordered BOTH steelbooks! But the giftset looks pretty cool but like you said it all depends on what the figurine looks like.

My wallet is NOT liking me right now, pre-ordered both Transformers steelbooks, pre-ordered Death Proof steelbook, probably gonna pre-order the Spider-man 3 steelbook, i double dipped with Face/Off this weekend and i want that sweet Troy 3 disc Director's cut that comes out tomorrow. Oh and can't forget Planet Terror if it comes in a steelbook!

Oh and a couple of concerts!(Beastie Boys, Queens of the Stone age, The Bravery, Alexisonfire, The Cure)

Oh well, i love DVDs!

I'm pretty pumped for this. The hard thing for me is I don't know if I should get the steelbook first, or the HD-DVD. Probably the HD-DVD... because I won't have enough cash to get both on the same day. Ugh.

Think I'll head down to the nearest FYE later and put one on reserve. Got some old dvds to trade in for store credit. That way it won't be too big a hit if I get the BB version too.

Obligatory wait for the super-extended/unrated/directors/ultimate 3 disc edition.

On a serious note, it's hard to pick this up when I hope to have a dual format player in ~15 months (my guess on price drops). Very tempting to just hold out and Netflix between now and then.

It was said here too. I'm torn between which one to get since I can't get both.

No pricing as yet, but probably $24.99 ish.

Limited I assume so I recommend preorder.

I thought best buy was offering a steelbook with each of the logos on the two sides of one steelbook?

The pix we got from the home office show virtually identical versions as compared to those from futureshop as posted earlier in this thread.

Going to preorder the Autobot steelbook at FYE tommorow. For those that preordered how do FYE preorders work? I've never preordered a DVD there at all... Also how much were the steelbooks?
