All my FYE had today was 2 of the decepticon steelbooks. I gladly took one, I was afraid since I worked all day yesterday and didn't pre-order they wouldn't have any. My BB had a few Planet Terror steelbooks, so really lucked out today.

A blind buy for me, wanted to see it on the grand scale of the theater, but didn't get a chance. Didn't pre-order, called fye yesterday morning and had the clerk hold a copy of the autobots steelbook for me. He said they had 5 of each steelbook. When I went to pick it up at around 6pm, there was only 3 decepticon steelbooks left. Glad I called.

Also, went to CC to get the free hat, so I'll probably just return that one.

You can still catch it on Imax or some of the cheap dollar theatres. It was still playing the regular theatres just a few weeks ago.

It's a flimsy movie and I'd love to see it on Imax, but my hubby said I spent on enough on this franchise already. ^-^

I bought the wal-mart 2 disc set and the hd dvd. But when i opened the wal-mart set the beginnings dvd was open on the inside, no shrink wrap. Is this normal, for those of you that picked up this set?

It was $19.96 for the 2 pack and $14 for the single disc. Of course I took back the single disc inside of the 2 pack and got store credit for $14+tax and got another movie.

And the beginnings disc is not shrink wrapped while the other single disc copy is.

XAGE, quick question!
I like the Walmart set (I thought that was the BB set, but never mind) are you going to open this set? I'm under the impression that the Walmart set comes with the exclusive book while the BB set just comes with the 2 small figures.

Well, being WalMart is the only store within a few miles that sales DVDs, and they did not have the HD-DVD(yet have had Knocked Up and We Are Marshall in week's past, go figure), so I couldn't resist myself and bought the 2 disc set. When I am able to get to BB, I'll be picking up the HD-DVD version. It's a good enough movie that I can stand buying 2 copies and spending $55 on.

I came to the same conclusion after I took a look at the set and said there's no way those two figures are worth a $7 premium over the regular 2-disc set. IMO, BB's exclusive was almost as disappointing as CC's.

I'd also like to add that after comparing the walmart, bb and target exclusives..bb's looked the cheesiest. I was out of bb in about 2 mins...I'm still surprised they were asking $30 for the set as well. Oh well so far i'm happy with my transforming case...if it breaks, i'm taking it back to target

btw: Does anyone know if i take back my receipt saying i was not given the $5 gift card if they'll honor that? I know it wasn't meant for the transforming case but since it rang up in the computer, i figured i'd give it a shot!

I don't know, the Decepticon edition is probably the one that's more 'rare' in number but the Autobots version is definitely the most rare in availability.

I believe its Best Buy and it has the unrated cover.

Here's the pic I found, though someone might have a larger one:

Yea me too. I'm in the group that bought the best buy, target and both steelbooks and I just got my walmart exclusive in the mail and by far the best buy set is the worst of the group. Target in my opinion had the best exclusive, I love steelbooks as much as anyone but that transforming case is cool as hell.

I agree. Target did a nice job with the transforming case.

I saw Transformers at the theater and enjoyed watching it on dvd tonight. I thought the Iron Man trailer looked cool on the dvd. I had not seen it yet.

Am I the only one who thinks that the single-disc set artwork is cooler than the SE's?
