COOL! I didn't know it came with a handgun!

I'm starting to think I may dump this thing and just get a regular case one. If this case breaks, you're screwed. You'll have to put the disks in a regular case with no insert.

I don't know how limited the Autobot and Decepticon steelbooks are in the US, but here (in one of my local Future Shops) there were at least 40 Autobot and 40 Decepticon steelbooks. I ended up getting the Autobot one, because the classic Autobot insignia seemed more attractive than the comparatively less-detailed Decepticon one. Seemed like there were quite a few cases with loose discs inside, though.

I pick up the Target exclusive 2-disc this morning. They have about maybe 20 or 30 copies on display. When I went to the checkout one of the Target employee bought 3 copies of them, maybe he going to ebay 2 of the copies I guess.

Does he really think it's going to go up in value if he sits on it?

I looked at it this way when I was going to buy it, I don't care about the 2nd disc. I'll put up the unrated edition around the time the second one gets into theaters.

Plus I'd rather get the mp3 player with the single disc than a double disc set with a transforming dvd case that I'll have no use for.

That almost happened to me today! I went to pick up mine this afternoon and they didn't have it set aside. They searched and ended up giving me the store display. It was the last Decepticon one too.

I was happy to get it but ticked because I reserved this back on 9/18. They didn't call me either about the dvd coming either. :P

It's amazing, all these pages of reviews and not one person bought the Circuit City exclusive. Long Live Speedy!

He might as well, I have seen the Target exclusive going for 99.99 on Feebay, and one even had 99.99 for a OPENING bid!

Wish that was the case, but since they are having the BOGO on HD-DVDs and Blu-Ray titles, everybody seems to have forgotten about the boycott.

If not, he has the receipt or can give it as a gift.

Yeah. because putting a dollar bill next to it for size comparison would have just been creepy.

It's just his way of letting you know not to break into his house to steal his transforming dvd cover.

It wasn't easy, but I netted my 2 steelbooks from FYE. First off, I made the mistake of not pre-ordering, because I figured the one at Rockefeller center here in NYC would have a shitload just as long as I got there early.

I planned to stop by during my lunch break, but of course my boss and fellow co-workers decided to pick today to finally have the argument that was 10 years in the making. So, I basically had to stay around to smooth things over between the involved.

I finally get to FYE in the city and of course I see none....shitloads of reg. 2 disc/1 disc, but no steelbooks. I asked the clerk if he has anymore, His answer is no and that they all went in a matter of an hour.

I then call my GF and ask her to call the one in Queens, that is relatively close to my apt. She calls me back and says that they have them and the clerk put 2 aside for me (What a guy). I finally get there and of course the guy has 2 of the reg disc put aside and says the guy who took my call must have sold them.....After a few seconds of BEING Pissed, I see they still have a Decepticons steelbook on the shelf and then ask the clerk to see if there's any other autobot ones, Thankfully there was. Jenga!

I know, I'm in the same boat. Watching all this excitement over the different cases and exclusives, I wish I had actually enjoyed the movie enough to get involved. Would have gone to Best Buy for the 2-disc DVD and lithograph. But Transformers didn't work for me, and I just don't have the desire to add it to my collection.

On an interesting side note, Bill Hunt reported today that Paramount and DreamWorks have admitted that high definition audio was not included on the HD-DVD because there wasn't enough space on the HD-30 disc. He pointed out that Blu-ray would have permitted it.

Would have been more appropriate to put a Walther P-38 next to it.

I'm suprised Target got the transforming gift card back in for this, it came out and sold out about two months ago. I still have a buck on mine from when I purchased it.

We totally highjacked this thread...maybe we need a gun section as well haha. Walther is a good make. The 38 is an old pistol. I've got the tph and the very reputable P-99.
