I called mine about an hour ago and they said the same.

I would also not worry about the pre-order. If you pre-ordered it, I'm pretty damn sure they'd be obligated to at LEAST hold it until end of business on release day. Somebody asked one off the path question and everybody got their panties in a bunch. No need fellas. If you didn't pre-order though, then yeah, you'll be pretty much screwed.

Anyone know about how many copies of the Transforming case DVD, Target will have?

Will it be more limited or will they have plenty to not be in that much of a rush?

The one I went to got only 10 of each in and they sold them all on preorders. The CR said there would be none available to just walk in and buy the day of the release. So it basically depends on the location.

If its like the other releases (Superman, V for Vendetta all with lenticular covers, etc.) than you better get your ass to the store as soon as possible.

So do you think 2 1/2 hours after they open will be too late?

No, the amount of time the item sells out varies by store and the people that shop there. If you know your around a high traffic area, you might want to grab it as soon as possible. I have 2 targets near me and one always sells out within a day and the other could last a whole week and more.

But I dont think 2 1/2 hours is too late at all. Ill be there much later.

I'm all set to buy the Decepticon Steelbook tomorrow.

In all the reviews I've read, there hasn't been a mention of whether the Devastator/Brawl mixup was corrected or not. I know it's a trivial thing but I'm curious. Oh well, I guess I'll confirm for myself tomorrow night.

w0ot, got my futureshop email notice saying BOTH my steelbooks (one Decepticon and one Autobot of course! :P) were shipped and en-route to me!

70$ for one movie, that's insane! But i loved the movie and i love steelbooks so i guess it's worth it.

If this is true care to share what store location this was?

I was trying to find out more information on the prequel that comes with the 1-disc at Wal-mart. I didn't find much, but there's a listing on Ebay for just the prequel, and it states that it's 19 minutes. Anyone confirm this?

Go to this thread. They said the WalMart bonus disk is mostly just the comic that came out before the movie.

Blah. I'll probably pick up a copy anyway and see if it becomes "collectible" within 90 days.

I'm pretty peeved, pre-ordered this off of the Best Buy website along with Planet Terror and my order today on release day finally shows 'order in the process of being fulfilled' and shows that it will ship in 1-2 days... pretty crappy for paying for the most expensive shipping I'd say, unless their database is just behind...

I'm curious about what the Target packaging is like -- no so much the Transforming robot case, but what the outside packaging in which it is housed. How much bigger is it than a standard DVD case? Any pics?

It comes in a clear case, similar to the one used for Anchor Bay's Bad Taste 2 DVD set. Thickness is about the size of 2 standard DVD cases. Here are the picture comparisons. Sorry about the "leaning tower of From Beyond".

So, is the transforming case well built, or is it something that will likely break real soon from too many transformations?

Picked up my preorder tin at FYE this morning.

Aaannnnddd... they forgot to set one aside for me. They lost my slip and everything.

Luckily though, they seemed to have more downstairs and it was no trouble at all to get one. Not sure how many, b/c I didn't check but it was easy enough and the CSR was nice.

They had about 8-10 set aside in behind the register.

So, if you don't trust your FYE store get there as early as possible.

Um, it's well built I guess, hard plastic is kinda thin though. The head flips up, the arms & legs fold down & then you flip up the feet. It's obviously not as complicated as the old school Transformers toys. The DVDs are housed in 2 folding trays in the back which doesn't require transforming first in order to get to them. I wouldn't suggest constantly transforming him just to be on the safe side.
