Really? They kept the scratch logo?? And these are UK DVDs! Very weird!

Just a quick heads up to the wrestling dvd collectors on the board, I having been reading the thread for months now and I have finally decided to register. I have previously posted on another wrestling website as WD and have been made aware of this forum from throwback (for whom I have a huge amount of respect for) and his postings on the other site.

I am a keen collector of WWF/E video and dvd releases and have an extensive collection that has been posted on the other forum. Unfortunately due to high number of pictures I can't post them in one reply on here.

It seems a pretty decent board and it will be good to post in a thread devoted to all things related to WWE and Wrestling dvds in general.

Granted the Tagged Classics are nothing to write home about in terms of presentation and special features on the vhs backup era, but they are better than nothing and are a good alternative to old dated video tapes.

I just received WTC034 today and whilst Summerslam 1998 is a vhs backup, Summerslam 1999 is a re release of the original dvd release with all the special features. Here is a quick picture

Just finished thumbing through the latest wwe magazine w/triple h on the cover. It has The new fall 2007 merch catalog in the middle. Inside the DVD section of the catalog, It has a half picture of the New Triumph & Tragedy of WCCW DVD (no release date, just says "new"). Also, The 3rd edition of the wwe dvd board game is shown.

Do you have to have a multi-region dvd player to play these Tagged Classics dvd's? I've seen them listed by sellers on "that damned auction site that DVD Talk Forum absolutely HATES us to mention" who claimed that they were playable in Region 1 dvd players. Just curious.

Thanks Throwback, you have a pretty impressive collection as well though you know

This forum seems more suited to what interests me most which is great.

I tried posting the entire collection in one reply and I am pretty sure it's going to take a fair few replies to get them all posted. The only downside to that is that people may reply in between postings and so the collection pictures would get split up. I will work on it this afternoon I guess.

I actually live in the UK and all the Tagged Classics are region 2 so I do not have playback problems. I do however have a multi region playback disc that I use with my Playstation 2 to watch all my worldwide dvds.

Nice collection!

Question:

Has anybody compiled a list of all wrestling DVD releases? If not, I think we have a pretty good crowd over here that could be willing to put a list together and categorize it according to wrestling promotion (WWF/WWE, ECW, TNA, ROH, etc.) and year of release. We could even specify the variant DVD releases as well as the European releases. Anyone up to the task?

Agreed, or could you at least post those pictures in spoiler tags so I don't have to wait a half hour for the page to fully load each time I open the thread? Maybe just post links to the pictures for the few who actually want to look at the stuff?

This has to be the longest loading page that I've ever seen on DVD Talk. I'm impressed with the work it took to get the pics up, but the page takes 5 minutes to load just to read a single post. I agree with the spoiler tags for the pics if possible, and I really hope nobody quotes that post.
