Comic-con is not overpriced with its DVD giftset. Its only the demand that caused it to soar in auction sites. In actual, Comic Con's 300 giftset is basically near the same price as the Bestbuy giftset's MSRP.

In Best Buy today in the HD section, several shelf tags indicated "300, Vengeance and Valor, Best Buy Exclusive".

Anyone know more? Could it be an HD bonus disc, or exclusive content on the 300 HD?
I think its across all HD releases (not foubd on Blu Rays)

Maybe I missed it somewhere in here, but is the Target exclusive (with the exception of the different packaging) the same as the others? Is the only exclusive thing the download of the movie, with all the other features being the same as the second disc available everywhere else?

For what it is, I thought it was too expensive.

I think I paid around $25 for the V for Vendetta set with mask and felt it was a little overpriced (about $10 over the normal set) for such a small item -- them charging $50 for this just seemed outrageous to me (and I'm a sucker for these things!)

On its behalf though, it is numbered (1-4000) and an exclusive mask (I thought it was the same one as being sold in stores, just with a Comic Con sticker and number) - I actually prefer the in-store mask though. Apparently those are the $65 ones though.

If it were a full-sized mask, I'd be all over it. I ended up putting my "V" mask on a little toy figure it was so small. The way I see it, you're paying about $30 for a mask that you can't do a whole lot with.

Probably. But we'll find out for sure tomorrow.

^ Someone said the banner at the top of it says "Deluxe Edition" while the non-Target versions call it a "Special Edition". So there is a chance there is special content here other than a pointless download of the film itself.

The ad states "over 90 minutes of thrilling extras on a bonus disc". Do you think they're referring to the second disc in the set or an additional third disc of content?

IN other treads they are saying there is NO 3rd disc...
the "over 90 minutes of thrilling extras on a bonus disc" is refering to the normal 2nd disc..

my question is.. it comes with "exclusive Making of 300 download"...??
what is that.. there already is "Making of 300" on the 2nd disc.. no one seams to know yet..

I'm debating on going to Target at 8am.. ^%$# thats early!!!

I'll predict that it will be the exact same 2 discer as everywhere else; except the slipcase will be slightly different, and an insert inside will have a code/website for the 2 downloads.

they are not on the discs. the target edition gives you a website and codes to download it to a PC for free.

that i do not know and i don't think anyone will know till tomorrow. i would guess and this is just a big guess, but it might be an exclusive making of with perhaps a few snippets not on the regular making of.

Wildo1966, this is really unnecessary. Please try to be a little less insulting toward other members.

I hear you about hating to make special trips just to check on these exclusives.

Luckily for me, I have about 15 different big 4 locations (BB,CC,WM,Target) within like 20 miles of me, including a couple places where all 4 are within a mile of each other.

No. It is just like any other DVD set, the movie is one disc 1 and the special features are on disc 2. And in addition, this Target exclusive will have downloadable content (the entire movie and a making of). The discs are the same everywhere, Target will just give you access to a website for the bonuses.

Target has a bad track record with exclusive bonuses, they have made several mistakes with mislabeling or even not having what is advertised at all.

Not just one store not having it, I mean all Targets not having them, the advertised bonus was never produced/manufactured.
