For those who wanted the Comic Con Exclusive Giftset, HOPE is not yet over.

If the limited (out of 4,000) set does not sold out this weekend, remaining sets will be distributed to some Bestbuy outlets at the same price as what in comic con and Bestbuy around $35.

Good Luck!

I bet I know which BB near me got them.

I NEVER drive into Maryland, but was there today, and actually in a shopping center with a BB. But I didn't go in, my friend who was driving didn't let me. "That" BB probably had the comiccon set out early, and no other BB within 200 miles of me will get it.

The Comic Con Exclusive got a huge impact this week in auction sites it averages at $75 above for selling cost.

The base price of the Comic Con Exclusive is just the same as regular Bestbuy MSRP for the giftset.

I guess for the early birds who shed a lot of $$$ to get one, the cost were mostly spent for being advance and the totebag.

Im thankful to my friend who was at comic con last Wednesday handed me the free "Immortal" 300 giftset yesterday (Friday).

Im off to Tuesday for the rest of the Exclusives! Now, that is where I will spend wisely

I just wanted a damn R1 steelbook like they're getting at FutureShop. You'd think BestBuy, who owns FutureShop, could offer the same thing here.....but no.

Why would they offer the steelbook now, when they know they can sell the regular 2 disc with mask now, and then get a lot of those same people to buy the steelbook in a couple of months?

Yeah but Warner doesn't really do a lot of double dips.

Has the dimensions of the helmet itself been posted? Just curious about the height and width.

Also, BestBuy has the giftset available for pre-order:

I pre-ordered 300 w/ Helmet & Art. Will I be able to return it in the store? I'm asking this because I wanted to get Braveheart for $5. I was thinking about maybe buying 300 again in the store along with Braveheart, then just return 300... will that work also?

Anyone else let down by these exclusives? For the success of this movie, I thought the stores would've gone all out with the lenticulars, books, Tins, etc.

Guess I'll just settle for BB.

I agree. I think I'm just going to skip everything and get it from Columbia House. I have no interest in the helmet from Best Buy. Someone should have done a steelbook in the US, that I would have been all over.

Hope so. Pricey set if it's cheap plastic.

Xage, any help on the plastic vs. metal question?

I agree. I just wanted a simple steelbook al a Departed, but only Canada is getting them. A fellow Talker up there did offer to get one for me, but after Canada VAT, postage, PayPal fees, his fees, it was approaching $50.

I wound up up going with the Fye.com deal, $16 for the 2-discer, after rebate.

Jeez...plastic? Pretty expensive plastic. If it is plastic, I'll be passing on it.

I agree... too bad that WB did not release a lenticular DVD

Is Neca going to make the helmet available any other way? I know its an exclusive giftset, but that could just mean the helmet won't be bundled with the dvd anywhere else

Does anyone have pictures of the Futureshop steelbook? Does it look like the Korean one where it just says 300 on the front and doesn't have any French or anything on it? I think I am going to pass on buying the DVD on Tuesday and wait and see if the R1 steelbook shows up on ebay for a reasonable price.

Forgive me if this has already been mentioned here, but....

In Best Buy today in the HD section, several shelf tags indicated "300, Vengeance and Valor, Best Buy Exclusive".

Anyone know more? Could it be an HD bonus disc, or exclusive content on the 300 HD?

All these exclusives, including the crazy overpriced comic-con mask, don't compare to a good steelbook.
