For those that got the screenplay, what's that like?

So as i posted before, i got the steelbook... but a buddy of mine picked up the Target edition... and damn is it packaged miserably. The sticky grease line on the script from the glue holding it on, and the slip cover being way too big once the script isnt attached... and the wrinkled plastic on the case it self.... just horrible.

I thought you can't use those on "new releases".

I have no trouble using them. YMMV.
Edit: If you have trouble you could wait until Sunday, but they might sell out.

Picked up the 2-disc edition from Target after work today. The screenplay is printed on glossy magazine stock and staple-bound. The gum adhesive used to hold the screenplay to the case does leave a stain on the cover of the screenplay. I do wish that the slipcase opened at the spine rather than at the top and bottom, but I'm satisfied with my purchase.

Really digging my new steelbook edition, but still think I might have to head to target tomorrow to get that script as well.. despite the less than glowing reviews. The target exclusive cover is rather attractive.

This steelbook rocks. Easily the best way to go. My BB had tons.

Got the steelbook too and it is classy. Our Best Buy had tons and copies - it and the one disc were FLYING off the shelves. Literally every other person in line had a copy. Good for you Marty.

If I had known of the steelbook, I may have considered it, but this was a rare, spur of the moment, on the spot blind purchase for me.

I was sorta disappointed in the "Scorsese on Scorsese" doc.

It's very in-depth but instead of completely glossing over "Boxcar Bertha", "New York, New York", "The Last Waltz", "After Hours", "The Color of Money", "Casino" (!) and "Bringing Out The Dead" they should have expanded it by 30 minutes.

I walked out of the midtown Manhattan Best Buy at about 2:00 with my steelbook that I had ordered online. I heard someone ask the man at the door if they had any more copies and he said they were completely sold out, not even any one-disc copies left. Ridiculous!

pretty good, this is the first dvd ive boughten in yrs (normally burn them). The screen play is pretty cool, i like them too, cause it gives u a different aspect for watchin the movie (how the scenes come to life)I guess given my lack of care for packaging, the steel box wasnt a big deal.

the big bummer was Target glueing it to the dvd box, so the front of my screen play has a line from the glue on it...anyone else have this problem??

Ended up buying the BB steelbook and the target excl. The Steelbook definitely trumps the target edition.

The Best buy had about 10 steelbook's for sale and more then enough 1 disc editions. The target only had 1 of the 2 disc/script edition sets.

After seeing the steelbook and reading all the postings, I caved and decided to go buy one. Unfortunately, all the Bestbuys in NYC are sold out. I had to call a sibling in Los Angeles to reserve a copy for me.

I'm not sure of the exact time, but can anyone confirm a layer change, after Damon got off the phone with Nicholson, and goes over to his girlfriend and leans in to kiss her?

Did the Internal Affairs Trilogy boxset come out? I tried a few stores and they didn't have it (Borders had all 3 separate though). A lot of websites don't have it yet either.

A miniaturized version of a shooting script.

So, to solve the problem of the big-ass slipcase, I store the steelcase in the slipcase (if something happens, I'd rather the crap case get damaged rather than the REALLY good one) with the script.

I may have to pick up the steelbook, along with the HD-DVD version coming.

Can anyone tell me the difference in the extras between the two versions? Thanks!

The Target Deluxe editions are disappearing faster than the chicken wings at an Overeaters Anonymous Banquet.

I went to the local Target right after work and found 0. Asked a very helpful Target employee to see if they had more and they did not. I had her check another store and they had 6 but would not hold one for me. I drove in rush hour traffic to the other Target and again found none. But I cruised through the aisles and found one laying down like someone has decided not to shell out for it. So I got the last one at that location.
