Yes. Grabbed Eyes Wide Shut out of the $5.50 bin at WalMart......but Kubrick's movies are a whole other thread!

I have exactly one MAR disc in my collection, the old Total Movie bundled release of omaha (the movie). It's a shame, too, because the master that director Mirvish provided them was letterboxed. At least it was "free," so to speak.

Never. I received a full screen copy of Minority Report for a gift a few years ago. I didn't realize it until after I opened it. I threw it in the trash, waited a year for it to go on sale cheap, and bought the widescreen version. There are a *couple* of full-screen discs in my collection because there was/is no widescreen available. But 99% of the time, if full-screen is the only thing available, I wait. I waited five years for Ace Ventura, even though it is one of my favorite movies. I think the steak/dog shit is a perfect analogy.

Off topic, but have they started releasing "fullscreen" titles in 16:9 yet? Like titles that have an OAR of 2.35:1?
I wonder if this is a trend that will start.

Yeah, I figured that....but I did only buy them because they were cheap as well as being the only format available.

Never bought VHS just cause it was cheaper either.

I bought FS Last Action Hero because it was cheap and I couldnt find the WS version. I regret so much since it does that pan and scan crap which makes it virtually unwatchable. I dont put it in my collection as it is in my basement. Then later, I found out the other version has both full and widescreen so it makes me wonder why they even made that FS only version.

NO. NEVER. EVER.
NO. NEVER. EVER.
That said, other than OAR and questionables like Kubrick, the only FS DVD's I have in my entire collection are "Creature" and "Nemesis," two awesome/terrible sci-fi movies that are't available in WS and most likely never will be. Availablity is my only reason for choosing FS, never the price.
