I received it this afternoon from xploited, Haven't had a chance to watch it yet but just looking at the all around package I must say I'm impressed! 5 discs, 2 booklets, 1 comic, and the reverse side of the cover has 2 original theatrical posters. Great stuff!

My copy arrived in one piece but the cover art has some slight scuffs here and there and there is a tiny tear at the bottom. Nothing too noticable considering the amount going on with the artwork.

If I had one wish it was that the 10,000 copies were numbered. But what are ya gunna do?

Edited for typo

I sorta had the same thought. They went to a lot of trouble putting together a really nice package and numbering 'em wouldn't have been that much more of a hassle.

Opted to cancel it thru DDD and placed an order with Overstock since they had it in stock. The free shipping option was 2-15 days. Typically how long do they take? Can it really take that long, or is it more than likely going to show up in 4-5 days? Just wondering...

Well...

Like a lot of you, I bought this as a blind buy...

It's a pretty impressive package considering the $26 and change I paid. It is a 5 disc set, although there seems to be some confusion on the net about this. Haven't watched any of the 3 documetaries (which all sound very interesting) but did watch the "Final Cut" disc...

The movie is quite unique, high on style and very haunting in its barren landscape. Not a slasher film, although it does have some graphic scenes in it. It really deserves to be discovered and here's hoping this package sells well. I think the director could really use the money. And speaking of...

Watched the director interview and listened to about 20 minutes of the audio track. The guy is very bright...and he talks, and talks...AND talks...probably a nice guy but I couldn't take anymore....geez.

I just cancelled my order with DDD, and ordered it through Overstock for the same price. I hate to do that, I am a loyal DDD customer and always go through them first, but when they don't even send me an e-mail... Their CS said the earliest they would get it in is Oct. 14th, with their shipping time that would mean me getting it on the 23rd or 24th at the earliest.

I consider myself a movie buff (not a fanatic, mind you) but it feels strange to see a 5 disc release of a movie I have never even hear of. Am I alone?

I actually love it when studios/directors go completely over the top with extras. Yes, there is perhaps more merit in say a five disc version of a landmark film like Star Wars, but the level of detail and knowledge you gain about a film from an insane set like this is worth the effort.

Personally I think Dust Devil merits the attention.

An aussie here waiting for my order !! It still shows as Pre Order in my DDD account !!!

The shipping time isn't an issue - it normally takes about 8 days to get down under - its just the fact that 1) I'll probably have to wait til this Oct 14 date - and 2) the price has DROPPED !!! So much for pre-ordering !!!! (added - can't cancel it as it was in a multi-order - and WE pay for shipping !!)

Got mine from DDD yesterday. Arrived completely intact and no floaters -- those hubs have a death grip on the discs, so I'm not surprised! Amazing set, and I don't feel bad at all for paying a few dollars more than it's on sale for now on DDD ($15.xx).

Did the same thing.. Got the same answer.

I've got no problem waiting, since I have a huge backlog as it is, and just picked up an XBox360 as well.

I called CS and got it reduced to $15.94 as well since it hasn't shipped yet. Don't email, definitely call to get the price reduction.

At the revised DDD price, I had to bite. Ordered my copy yesterday. Fingers crossed that this is worth it...

Has anyone heard anything about the US (R1) release of Hardware?

If they can do this with this release what about the more known film by this director!

I've got a pending statement on my credit card for this, so it should ship out soon. Unfortunately, there's two pending charges.. One at the old price and one at the new one. I hope I don't get two copies of this thing.

I bought this set earlier and the box was clear....was in best buy and saw one in a black case. Is there a difference in the two?
