Is this something I will have to order or could I get it at Best Buy? I supposed Borders might be a safe bet.

A bit larger than a double (think Criterion's Scenes from a Marriage, the Leopard, or the 3-disc Brotherhood of the Wolf).

Dr. DVD: Borders is carrying this (it's in the cult classics section) but it is full MSRP, so you'll end up paying about $10 more than ordering online.

So basically you're saying online is the way to go, right? I just fear floater discs.

I had a preorder with DDD for this, but last week I read that DVD Pacific had the title for only $17.07. Forgetting that they add shipping, I cancelled my DDD order and reordered from Pacific. With shipping, it was only about 10c cheaper than DDD!

What a waste of time, I thought - but they shipped it the next day and I had it in my hands last Friday, when it took only two days to arrive via media mail!

I didn't save any money, but I got the sets in my hand well before release. Looks like I'd still be sitting on my hands if I'd left my order with DDD. I hope they ship soon for you folk waiting.

Has anyone heard anything from DDD on this yet? It's still listed as a Pre-order on my account.

Mine too and I just got a notice that the other title in my order, Dark Waters, shipped this morning, but nothing about Dust Devil.

I was a tad annoyed that the middle plastic disc holder the bottom hinge popped off the initial moment I opened it ...

My copy finally shipped from Deep Discount yesterday afternoon; if it makes any difference, I had preordered within a day or so of it being listed on their site.

Thanks, that's good to know. I'll keep checking, but as of right now- no word.

Why have I never heard of this movie before? I've never seen it talked about! Now I'm interested as hell. Another freaking DVD to buy.

Yeah, I'm interested in this now also....seems like it will be rare. Has anyone seen it at Best Buy?

Given the amount of bonus material, I may pick this up, too. Even if the film itself doesn't hold enough appeal for me personally, the documentaries definitely sound interesting.

Were you able to pop it back on without any damage?

no, the top of the hinge actually broke of, the bottown half is still attached to the inside ... I could glue back on, but I don't know if that would fix it in the long run?

If I haven't heard anything today or tomorrow then I may just go ahead and cancel the order with DDD and place it elsewhere. It would be nice to get some form of a notice if an item goes out of stock.

I had no problem with mine which I bought from amazon.com
The number of copies, as stated on the box will be 9,999 copies.

After that, they will probably just issue the DVD sans bonus discs.

I just got off the phone with DDD, and they said it is on backorder, but mine "should" ship out within the next few days.

I'm thinking I might just go pick this up from Borders. With the 30% off coupon, that'll bring it to around $22 after tax, which still isn't that bad.

I got mine last night. There's kind of a minor "gouge" in the front cover similar to dvds in the Wal-mart dump bin yet there was nothing wrong with the shipping box. I didn't notice it until after I opened it. I'm going to keep it anyway, but I hate when that happens. It's still a really cool set and I'm looking forward to watching the movie this weekend.

I'd try ordering a new case but that's just me.

This one is complex but there are 5 DVD cases out there.

After watching the Final Cut last night, it certainly is interesting.
