Xploited lists it as out of stock simply because it hasn't been released yet; you can still preorder a copy.

I don't know why DDD and Amazon list the set as being 3 discs as opposed to 5, but further down Amazon's description, it is indeed listed as having five discs and the features are identical:

DVD Features:
Deluxe 5-disc box set including
2 versions of DUST DEVIL: the final directorıs cut and a work print version
3 of Richard Stanleyıs most controversial documentaries: THE SECRET GLORY, VOICE OF THE MOON and THE WHITE DARKNESS
Bonus Soundtrack CD
Extras include:
Audio commentary tracks with cast and crew
Featurettes with cast and crew
Talent bios
Still galleries
Trailers
Exclusive Dust Devil comic book
Production diary and essay booklets
Deep Discount's site isn't loading for me at the moment so I can't double check their details, but there's only the 5-disc being released, so I have absolutely no doubt this is what DDD will be shipping to me.

Yep,

there is NO three disc set. It's because they added two extra discs for the docs after the initial listing for the set. Places just never changed the listing.

Just preordered mine from xploitedcinema.com

This will be my first blind buy in quite a while but from the reviews I've read I think I'll like this one; and the price can't be beat.

How did you "just preorder" it from Xploitedcinema? It has had it listed as "out-of-stock" for the past week.

searched via the UPC code and different sites list as a 3, 4 or 5 disc set including the CD, so I'm pretty sure it's going to be the 5 disc set.

Haven't heard anything about this movie, but for the price and what I'm getting I'm heading to DDD to place an order

Looks like it's been cancelled. DDD list it as unavailable also.

Placed my order with DDD last night. It could be that since it's a supposed limited release of 10,000 that even though it's a pre-order too that some places might sell out of their allocated amount and not have it listed anymore.

At under $20 and a 5 disc set I'm very curious as to what's in store since I know very little about the movie, but felt it was too good of an opportunity to pass up.

It said "This product is unavailable" last night, now it doesn't. I figured if two sites said the same thing, it must have been delayed for some reason.

Strange.

No, but those weren't limited to 10,000 copies. Thanks for playing.

There was...

a legit chance that the title was sold out with the small pressing. You acted like a jerk, demissing even the thought of it, so I replied in kind. Get back on subject.

the only jerk in here has been you. Acting as thus the title was so limited when other releases for the same day also where not available so it wasn't just Dust Devil. Further, it was also a response to the previous part where some thought it was sold out but in reality its because of it being a pre-order at xploited and possible this being a similar situation as some of the other pre-order releases were not available as well. This along with the title not having been released yet and won't for another week it made little sense that it would sell out so quickly and if so amazon and others retailers would have known and mentioned something. BTW I am on subject as I mentioned I ordered it from amazon today so please check before you want to play moderator. So again, thanks for playing.

On another topic, I'm like some of you here have ordered this as a total blind buy, something I don't do often. So if anyone could comment further on the movie I would really appreciate it. I've read some of the reviews on IMDB but they were all somewhat similar. Thanks.

Xploitedcinema must have received their shipment. Last night it showed up as "in stock" and my copy shipped. I should have it either Saturday or Monday.

I went ahead and placed an order for this over at DDD. It sounds pretty interesting, and how can you beat a 5-disc set for under $20?

I went ahead and ordered one too (as a blind buy). I got the shipping notice Thursday but it's media mail so it'll probably still be 7-8 more days before I get it.

I don't believe DDD has shipped mine yet, but that's fine. I'm not in a huge rush; just as long as I get it in a reasonable amount of time.

I'll be curious to hear people's thoughts on the packaging: Subversive managed to cram five discs and a fairly hefty booklet into a clear Amaray case roughly the size of Criterion's Scenes from a Marriage. The copy I was admiring at work looked to be using the staggered hubs (one partially on top of another) that some companies have been utilizing lately. Overall, it's a nice looking set, but I can definitely see some complaints coming over broken bits and whatnot...

I didn't get mine today, so I should get it Monday. I'll posts my thoughts once I have it in my hot little hands.

But, as a pre-emptive strike, I have no problem with staggered hubs. If I need to bottom disc, I just pop the top one off, pop off the target disc and pop the top one back on.
