Yeah, I have no problem with DDD. Can't beat their prices (even with the double shipping costs I'll be making). I could do without the wait on these sets, but it's not that big of a deal.

Just called DDD and was told my two of the Anthology are being packaged as we speak and I will get it on or before the 18th of November. Sweet!! Just in time for my birthday

Just got an email from DDD saying they are shipping Vol. 2 and should arrive soon. Vol 1 still backordered apparently.

if you wish to bash DDD, make some sort of thread in the store forum, otherwise keep it out of this thread.

I am not a "new age wrestling fan" I have been a wrestling fan since the early days of WM. The only reason I was complaining was because I e-mailed DDD on 10-31 and got a reply saying it should ship out on the 1st then it did not ship and I e-mailed them and then they said the 12th. I am looking forward to it shipping but I am not gonna keep bitching at DDD. I do think that DDD should have not said it was gonna ship on the first if they did not have it in stock. I agree it does get old when people ramble on about a bunch of crap they cannot control.

DDD is giving you free shipping on an already much lower price than Amazon on the set. If you don't wish to continue ordering from them and pay more on Amazon, then that's your prerogative, but you don't have to blast them like they have ripped you off. I have never had any problem with them and they have been generous on giving 20% discounts on their already low prices and free shipping with that. If you want faster shipping, then pay the additional $4.95 for their 3 day delivery.
I'm glad someone else said it. I hope your mom won't be too upset when she sees her credit card bill. As I said, if you need it ASAP, then DDD is not the way to go. I have no problem with people that don't have the patience or intelligence to wait for the best deal. Pay top dollar, we don't give a damn, but you are coming off like a real idiot in your post padding replies.

Me? I am waiting until the 20% off sale. If it takes them until March to get it to me, I don't care. The extra $200 in my pocket will make me happy.

I just got my Limited Edition Leather set. Cracking it open, I found that I had an extra autographed Shawn Michaels card. I saw that wewantflair had the Triple H one. So, you must get a random autographed card that's included in those sets.

I am currently watching the first Wrestlemania and it looks great, especially considering it's age and it being filmed on video. The only edits I really noticed so far was JYD's entrance. It's quite obvious that it was overdubbed. The crowd noise sounds fake, The Fink's introduction is obviously dubbed and Gorilla and Jesse's commentary is not heard til the music fades.

I had to pay tax at DDD because I live in Chicago and I believe you have to pay tax if you are a Illinois resident since DDD is based in Illinois
hmm...looks like it's still cheaper for me @ DDD.

I was thinking of waiting till the 20% sale but by the time it comes the sets could be sold out. So I bit the bullet for vol 1,2,3

Is this set limited in some way? Why would DDD be "sold out" when the 20% comes on? Are you saying they will be out of stock awaiting new stock thereby delaying your order?

Well DDD just shipped out my WM Anthology for $136.06. I had a 10% coupon applied to this order, so the price was definitely right. Hopefully there are no floaters because of the Media Mail.

He probably meant that they may become sold out during the sale with many people waiting until then to order it, which often happens with their sales (in my experience, at least).

What do you mean by floaters because of Media Mail?

Because it takes longer to receive when shipped by media mail, there is more handling involved with the package. This could result in some discs coming off the spindle, causing them to float around in the package and getting scratched.

Oh I see. But im not too worried about that, the set is pretty tightly packeged. Except for the WM 21 disc on the lid, that one is almost guranteed to get scratched up.

media mail isn't necessarily handled anymore or less than priority or first class packages, the reason it's cheaper is because the way media mail works is they send along the way to it's destination when there is room on truck, if it's full they wait for the next truck, whereas the more expensive ways (1st or priority) will make it quicker. they fill the trucks with first class & priority, etc then whatever room left is filled with media mail packages..

Never ordering a wrestling DVD off DDD ever again. This has become a joke, same happened with me and the Undertaker DVD. Just shell out the extra couple bucks and pick it up from store. Well worth it, don't gotta go through this wait and see game with Deep DiscountDVD.

PS: Does Coconuts or FYE or KMart or Target have these DVD's by volume sets? Those stores are close to me, wanna see if they have them before/if I go.

As far as i know. That's the only way they are selling them. Fye & best buy both were selling volume sets in my area. I talked to one best buy worker and he said the box set is only available through the website. Not sure if that's the protocol for all stores. It seems the box set was passed over in favor of the volumes by many stores. I have yet to read that many reports of findings regarding the wm boxset. So you could prob. score the volume sets at FYE etc. Try calling them up...just in case.

I found the opposite in my area. No volume sets and only box sets.
