I won't buy this because I already have the original one, but I won't bitch too much about it either.

People have come to expect constant DD's, so there is a whole new class of consumer out there...those that refuse to buy until the inevitable DD is released.

i hope they call it the large talons edition....
with the great commentary and short film already on the disc, not sure what else they have sitting around to add on. But i would imagine as many copies as this has sold the initial printings are running low. so why not redo some stuff and add on.
and I want to be the first to place the bet that hot topic gets a exclusive LE Tin like they did for Donnie darko...gosh

They also could add features on the film's impact on pop culture and how the town of Preston, Idaho, has become a tourist boomtown because of the film, footage from Jon Heder's college tour and other post-theatrical-release supplements that couldn't have been done for the first DVD. And it could come with a "Vote for Pedro" iron-on design to make your own T-shirt.

Ok, Ok, I figured it out. It will be a 2-disc special edition with disc 1 being the original disc and disc 2 being D-Qwon's Dance Grooves.

All I know is Tina better get her due justice with at least a new commentary track cause she pretty much carried the movie with her sweet ham eating skillz.

It surprised me. Those "indie" titles usually get the double dip right up front like Kinsley and I <3 Huckabee's.
Guess that the searchlight stuff is not safe ground anymore. Than again, this could simply be because of the Hot Topic crowd behind it all. I'm still not going to expect a SE for Garden State since it didn't have the same knock out merchindising power as Nap did.

Special edition, a few months after the initial release...why doesn't this surprise me.
I make it a point not to buy many movies that are bare-bones immediately for this very reason (unless it's a Million Dollar Baby must own immediately type of movie).
At any rate, loved this gem of a movie and will add it to my collection sometime in the near future. I saw the actor who plays Napolean on Conan (or Jay) and he's not too far from his character IMO. Great little movie, it really surprised me.

These double dips are really starting to anger me...I really don't wanna buy anymore FOX titles, but I have to...you know it.
