I got a fuzzy @ Movie Stop her in Macon.

Watched the first disc with my 12 year old son. He's never seen the show just the movies. He was laughing the whole time.

Had forgotten about "mnah mnah".

If the rest of the set is this good, can't wait to finish.

Great set.

This can be heard on the recent Sesame Street 3 CD boxset.

I liked Muppets Tonight as well - that was funny also
The Ed Sulivan performance has the cows. Again it can be found on the muppet magic disc..this is the old cover version without the tux added kermit

I found the fuzzy at my local Meijer store for only $27.88. Meijer is a large chain in the Midwest, similar to WalMart, so this information will only be useful to some of you. Sorry.

Picked my "Fuzzy" set up at Sam's just awhile ago. It was 29.74+tax for those that are still looking for it.

DVD Planet sent me a fuzzy one last week. I hope they continue each season with a fuzzy box of the different characters.

A Sam the Eagle box with blue feathers would be pretty cool. ...but I doubt they will get that deep. 6 seasons, right?

I'm guessing Kermit, Piggy, Gonzo, Fozzy, Animal and ??? maybe Beaker or the Swedish Chef?

Or they might just drop this style completely and do something different.

5 seasons looking at tv.com

Also just noticed they have a totally different episode order than what the set has. Any ideas?

The episodes on The Muppet Show season sets are shown in order of their recording date. tv.com most likely lists them in order of their air date.

The reason for their not airing in their recorded order was that some of the later episodes of season one were deemed stronger efforts than the earlier ones, and Henson wanted to put his 'best foot forward' out of the gate.

Am I blind or are we still waiting for a comparison between this and the timelife set? Specifically if the edits are in both, and if the extras in the timelife are carried over.

ok here is a run down on the time life extras. Quiet a bit when you count up that they are different across 15 disc. Not sure who ran the muppetisms, and muppet movies originally, but it is a shame they were not carried over. Collected they would be a pretty meaty extra set of freatures.

extras in the time life sets were the brian henson intros and they are not in the disney set.

muppetisms..short dare to be...several shorts with different charachters...dancing, playing, and so forth over a white background. ends with muppets dare you to be...funky, and so on

muppet movies...muppet parody trailers: flipperdance/riverdance kerminator/terminator frogfather/godfather...not sure how many different ones, as i did not go through all 15 of my disc

From the Vault: sketches and photos of early work

fun facts: like the crew of swine trek recorded a special audio track that was used for the wakeup call for a real shuttle crew..located as easter eggs on animals head on the main menu

I love the disney set. I have not gone through the entire thing, but it is lighter on extras than I want to be. The pop ups are good, and the archive pitch and so forth are wonderful additions. Its great to see the original intros back in place, but I will not be tossing out my time life set. To many nice things on it.

i have not compared the video on the vincent price episode, but when it comes in rotaion in the season set, i will tell you what i see. If anyone could provide screenshots that would be great.

I'm glad I didn't pawn off my Time Life set, I like the little muppetisms and parody trailers. Sure they're not much, but like Cameron said, added together they are a fairly meaty extra. I'd offer to do a comparison, but I have such a backlog of unwatched titles that I probably won't get to this set for about a month.

Thanks Cameron!

I think I'll be the completist that I usually am and keep my T/L set.

The second part sorta makes sense, but not the first part. I just finished the first 6 episodes. Scooter is in a few, yet Episode 6 seems to be his debut. He intruduces himself to Kermit and we get the whole backstory on his uncle owning the theater. Why would they record Scooter in ep. 4 & 5 as a regular Muppet, then record episode 6 where it is his first appearance?

I agree. I watched the first 5 episodes and noticed the same thing - they don't seem to be presented in "recorded order". Some of the voices like Fozzy and Piggy are noticeably different from episodes 1 & 2 to 3 & 4 also. Are these in the order they were aired?

I don't think it is air date order as tv.com has them listed that way. I think we have a random mess of episodes on the set.
