I finally picked it up at Tower, the price was $14.99, but I figured I could't find it anywhere else so I got it. The girl rang it up and it was on sale for $9.99, so that was a cool surprise. Good luck you guys out there who haven't found it yet. Up next, D.C. Cab.

I was watching the bar fight, and it almost seems like they edited it slightly. When the dog is barking, the guy whips his sword around, cutting his partner's arm, and you still hear the dog barking. In what I possibly remember of the "original version", he looks down at the dog, and you see his sword hand thrust in the direction of the dog, which yelps.

Nope, no animal cruelty in the VHS version. After he cuts the table in half, he points his sword down toward the ground before swinging it around and cutting the other guy's arm off, but there's no indication that he was stabbing at the dog.
