Its nice to know we are still excited by dvd when we get down to initial releases of such classics as Ice Pirates and Yor.
The original King Kong is #1 on my list at this point, but count me in on Ice Pirates. I really wonder how I'll view it since the last time I saw it I couldn't even drive a car (long time ago).

Great! I've been wanting to see Ice Pirates again for a long time. In fact, most of the semi-decent B-Films of the 80's haven't come out. Yor & Megaforce are two. Much better than Deathstalker & Barbarian Queen which have been out forever. Is there a list of B-Films not yet released somewhere? Or even a good list of what has been?

Thank God I can finally throw away that horrible VHS copy!!!
Sadly enough, this is the only movie except for Final Option (Who Dares Wins) that I've waited for to come to DVD. Excellent news!!!!!!!!!!!! ... yeeessssssssss ...

erm, hopefully MGM has learned their lesson by now. I was under the impression that most of those cases were just open mattes vs. matted for widescreen anyway... that's what thedigitalbits reported if I remember correctly.

Yeah, couldn't find it either... but only checked a couple places. I'm sure it'll show up by the weekend.
