On Laserdisc? 2001: A Space Odyssey. I think it was 1994.
On DVD? Seven Samurai. July, 1998. The original edition with the restoration doc.
Hopeful projection for Blu-Ray? The Films of Val Lewton box set.

I can't believe nobody mentioned The Beastie Boys, although I'm not sure it's a really popular title. The ABSOLUTE ONLY REASON I bought a DVD player in the first place. I remember it was delayed, so I held off buying a player. I remember telling my wife when it came out "I'm not going to buy many DVDs, just only special movies." Although I really don't have a big collection now, especially compared to those on this site.
