Silence of the lambs or Robocop on dvd. I know i got Robocop the day it came out, but i'm still not sure which came first. I know i got Spinal Tap soon after and gave the thing away to a friend(this was before i knew what ebay was.)

I bought 3 Criterions very early in my DVD collecting days.

Armageddon was my first (#6 overall)
RoboCop was second (#11 overall)
Chasing Amy was third (#14 overall)

I then went a while before I bought Straw Dogs (#500 overall)

It was either, Chasing Amy or That Obscure Object of Desire.

Bunuel, Bunuel why can't criterion release more of his movies. Does anyone know anything about it?

Thanks :-)

First = Brazil
Second, and last = Life of Brian

Though I've ended up with some R4 re-packaged Criterions (Chasing Amy, Armageddon).

Only other one I'm after if I can find it at the right price is Seven Samurai. Though I'm sure once I've got that I'll need his other Criterions.

Lord of the Flies followed by Silence of the Lambs. I, too, had no idea that Criterions were such a big deal. Just got the movies because I liked them. :-)

Seven Samurai.
I watched it twice since, but I still have to listen to the commentary - shame.

On dvd, I believe it would be Robocop.
On LD, I think it was probably Hard Boiled.
