Now, as for more OOP DVDs of note… I mentioned earlier how the Transformers movie was OOP and worth decent $ on the secondary market. Well, add all the Transformers TV box sets to that. Rhino released it, and, in fact all the Rhino '80s cartoon TV sets are fetching high prices nowadays, if they're not on store shelves anymore, of course. These sets include Jem and G.I. Joe, as well as the Transformers.
On to a more different genre, Atom Egoyan's movie Exotica is now OOP and still available everywhere. It might fetch nice prices down the road, since it is a sexy movie, but I also heard it may get re-released soon-- no official word on re-release, though, just some brainstorming at the studio.
Speaking of foreign films, my last tip is look out for any of three Apu Trilogy films: Aparajito, Pather Panchali and The World of Apu-- classic Indian films that fell out of print very recently and have no news of reissues yet, as rights are kind of in limbo. . . from what I understand. These may have been hard to find in B&M stores even while they were in print, so look out for them!
OK, let's keep this thread alive, what else have others found worth mentioning?

Thanks for the heads-up on the Rhino sets - of course, they are all up in value except the one I picked up at Gamestop a while back (G I Joe : A Real American Hero / Revenge of the Cobra), but I will hold onto it for a while and see what happens.
Keep an eye out for the OOP Anchor Bay versions of some Hitchcock films - I got Spellbound and Notorious at a pawn shop the other day for $4 each, and was pleasantly surprised to find them listed at $35-40 on Amazon (ignoring imports listed at $22-30) - about $10 less than the Criterion releases (also OOP). I have noticed that often when the regular release of a Criterion title goes OOP, it will bring good money - for example, Brazil and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.
Note that the Muppet Movie and Great Muppet Caper have dropped in price pending the November release of Kermit's 50th anniversary editions.
Also, thanks for the heads-up on Exotica - I have been wanting to get this one for a while, so I went ahead and bought it from DVD Pacific - great price of $6.20 ($7.68 shipped).

Day of Anger is now OOP according to wildeast.net. Still a few sealed copies left at reasonable prices at ebay though.

I bet there are going to be tons of people who didn't get in on this deal for the Army of Darkness Boomstick Edition:
http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=412385
Check out how much this now OOP DVD is going for on eBay:
http://dvd.search-completed.ebay.com...30QQsofocusZbs
Also going for high prices now is Wake-Up Ron Burgandy, the bonus DVD that came with Anchorman for a short while:
http://dvd.search-completed.ebay.com...30QQsofocusZbs
If any of you guys want this DVD, Second Spin has the two pack available right now:
https://www.secondspin.com/buy/vidov...&vidID=4150175
Another one that is OOP and can go for high prices new and used is My Neighbor Totoro. I have found that one at a couple of pawn shops used which I sold for $30-$50, and I have even found a couple brand new in the WalMart $5.50 bin, but I haven't seen one in about a month or so ago. I sold the two sealed ones I bought at WalMart for around $60-$70. The prices for this DVD aren't that high anymore, but they do hover around $25-$45 for new/used copies:

Some great additions to the list, indeed. Thanks, Brent. Day of Anger is also a great suggestion for a very obscure title. That should be hard to find even while in print. My only addition, so far is Almost Famous: Bootleg Edition. It’s OOP, and may go up in price soon enough.

saw a boomstick edition today at FYE.
also still seeing almost famous at best buy, which is actually callled "untitled"
not bootleg.

People should start dumping Clockwatchers, which was going for almost $50 on ebay. It is going to be re-released Oct. 25th. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...365965-3035331

I found a Blue Collar @ Newbury Comics and sold it for about $50 a couple of months ago. I've been out of the OOP game for a while which is a good thing because I became addicted to going to stores looking for hidden treasures. Now's the perfect time to hit all my favorites stores and see what they have. I still have a boatload of OOP titles that I've been too lazy to try selling, which is too bad as some of them now have new additions coming out (crap!)
Good to see this list is still alive and being updated!

Does anyone know what is up with the original non-SE release of A Nightmare before Christmas?
The SE is available for $15 from Amazon - but I see the OOP non-SE listed at $55+. At first I thought it was just old listings no one had bothered to remove - but I see MX123.com (formerly dvds123.com) paying $15.60 for it , which would place the retail used price at $30-35 or higher, based on their usual wholesale prices.
I know some people are willing to pay for rarity - I just sold a bare-bones Anchor Bay edition of Rebecca for $70 - when for $5-10 more he could have gotten the Criterion version. Go figure.
Which brings me to mention again - if you see the OOP Anchor Bay versions of Hitchcock films, grab them - I have sold three for nice prices at Amazon - Notorious ($4 => $40), Spellbound ($4 => $35), and Rebecca ($9 => $70).

The Bonds have gone up in value - probably due to increase indemand coming into Christmas. The highest is currently From Russia with Love starting at $46.
I sold season 1 of Transformers for $85 the other day.
Fletch dropped in value to around $20 when it showed up in Walmart's $4.88 promotion but has now returned to the $40+ level for sealed copies. (I sold 2 copies last week for over $50 but have since been undercut.)

Out of Sight has also jumped up in value. I sold a new one for like $70 not too long ago.
Oh, one bit of advice: check your local Gamestops for the Universal Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I came across several and was able to sell them for about $30.

Wow- thanks for the heads-up on Out of Sight - I just got that cheap from Columbia House a few months ago, kicking myself for not going for the DTS version now. (I guess thats another one Ill be selling without ever opening.)
I also have grabbed several Fear and Loathings but have only managed toget $25 for them - but my style is to go for the quick nickel and price low.
