I don't remember the last time I bought "action figures", but these bookends look real nice. Better than the FOTR gift set ones. I might get it if the price is right.

How fast did the second Gollum statue sell out? Should I be worried that I might not be able to get Minas Morgul? How much time will I have?

I don't know if I'd call these "action figures," unless you define opening and closing a box as "action."

The gift set and bonus DVD looks absolutely joygasmic. A 100% no-brainer purchase for me.

These are far from action figures. Many people consider these sculptures as art. The detail on these peices are fantastic. The artist that do these statues are part of the production team (Weta Workshop) that worked on the films. They sculpt the original peice and then master molds are made in order to produce limited quantities (anywhere from 500 - 10,000 pcs.).

Someone please tell me how long the extra gollum statue lasted. Will I be able to get Minas Morgul??

I could be wrong, but I thought the Gollum statue was available for a few months (at least 2 or 3).

from my understanding they don't charge you for pre-orders. Might aswell save your spot that way.

How and where do I preorder it? Link? Aren't you supposed to have the giftset before you can get the extra?

You cannot pre-order it. As with the Two Towers Gollum statue, there will be instructions and a coupon code included with the ROTK gift set, and the order page will not be available until the day of the DVDs release.

The Gollum statue was available for several weeks, but I don't recall exactly how many. Whether the Minas Morgul piece will follow a similar pattern, who can say? Your best bet, if you plan to purchase the gift set, is to do so on release day, and to order the companion piece that same day. That is what I did last time, and I received the statue in about 10 days.

How long will the bonus "howard shore" dvd be?

Btw, i'm definitely picking this set up now. The set just looks too nice to pass up.

Very cool! For the first two EE releases I got the regular release. This time, I will be getting the gift set and I will order the bonus statue on release.
