So which one is the correct OAR then? I was going to get the Shriek Show release, but if 1:85:1 is wrong, then I will pick up the Blue Underground release.

2.35:1 is the correct AR.

1.85 is a misprint again. Both releases will be correct AR.

So... uh... Any Reviews yet?? I think it's silly to buy both versions.

theres been a couple reviews of the Blue Underground disc, and all the reviewers have been praising how great the video transfer looks.

I hope there will be reviews of the 2 disc soon, because even though I don't mind buying both versions, I'd rather not

reviews of the BU disc:

not if yer a serious collector. it would be silly not to buy both, especially if you are a huge fan of the film. I have a few things going for me. I'm a huge Zombie fan...a huge Fulci fan and an even bigger BU fan. I buy all they put out because I just have to!!

Wait wait, so let me get this straight, if you are a "serious collector" that means you gotta get ALL releases of a film? Wouldn't it be best to see which version is BEST and buy that one? Sounds pretty unsilly to me

Does the MB release have the Italian audio w/English Subs? That is the clincher for me on if I buy only the MB or both

the serious collector joke wasn't funny the first time, and it isn't the second time. woop dee doo..

if gutwrencher collects blue underground discs, why wouldn't he get their disc as well as the Media Blasters disc? doesnt sound weird to me

I'll be keeping my Anchor Bay DVD because I like the WE ARE GOING TO EAT YOU! cover. Also, it has a shitty transfer and sometimes I just want to watch movies like this with dark, grainy transfers because it just sort of gives them a sleazy, creepy atmosphere, like you're seeing an old faded print at a midnight movie showing somewhere.

That said, I'll probably only be buying the Shriek Show 2-disc SE and skip the BU one. From the rumors I've been hearing, both the SS and BU will be using the same transfer. Mind you, it's still unconfirmed, so take it with a grain of salt.

Oh I definately agree with you on the grain of the AB edition, however so many people really lambasted AB's transfer in saying it's one of the worst, eh hem, have any of them seen the print used for Pieces - now that's one ugly DVD transfer (I'd call it the worst I've ever seen right after French Connections' 70's gay porn DVD collection)

Still no reviews for the SE... This is starting to look suspicious. I just need to know, dammit!

I got sick of waiting for the Shriek Show review, so I ordered the BU version at DDD 2 days ago. Hope they ship it soon.

After reading that thread, I made the right choice going with BU. The SS delay, disappointing extras, and BU has the 5.1 track.

I'm telling you, this is a damn conspiracy to make us buy both!
I wasn't going to buy BU release, but as I want to see Zombie in pristine condition ASAP, I'm forced into buying it AND the BU release.

Man this stinks I ordered the darn SE and was wondering why it didn't ship yet. I think I may just have to pick up the BU version too.

My BU version hasn't shipped from DDD yet. Hope that's not delayed also. If I get the SE I'll wait for DDD's next 20% sale.
