Excellent! I'll be buying the top-of-the-line version since this is my favorite film of all time. Can't wait to get rid of the damn snapper! Now waiting for the SE of the other Frank Darabont/Stephen King masterpiece, The Green Mile.

Any news on the type of case it will be? 2 disc keepcase like Goodfellas or Digipak like Singin' in the Rain, True Romance, etc?

It's a good bet it'll be a Digipak like Singin' in the Rain, Once Upon a Time in America, etc. Warner hasn't done a two-disc snapper in ages, but has done tons of Digipaks recently.

Ryo should have said two disc keepcase, not snapper... Ala Goodfellas, Purple Rain, Last Samurai, The Matrix sequels, etc... It's not a good bet, at this point in time, that it will be in a digipak. WB seems to be moving to more and more keepcases. Could be a digipak, could be not...

Well, do we know that Goodfellas and Purple Rain will indeed be in keepcases? I mean, I know the artwork we've seen shows them as such, but there has been cases where it has been wrong. I can't think of any off the top of my head, but it's happened. I think for their new-to-DVD titles (the ones just out of theatres, this excludes Wyatt Earp), they're going with keepcases (The Matrix sequels, Terminator 3, The Last Samurai), while their 2-disc catalog (re-)releases (the Two-Disc Special Edition Series, we'll say) are all digipaks (Enter The Dragon, One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, Casablanca). I have a feeling this, along with the previously mentioned titles and The Lost Boys will come in digipaks. At least, that would make the most sense.

Cornelius, I think Goodfellas will be in a keepcase because it is packaged with other one disc titles.

Would hate to have an ugly duckling.

In case anyone was still wondering, Drew Struzan (my favorite movie poster artist) was commisioned to do the new DVD artwork and I think it's fantastic. Follow the link to check it out...

Interesting artwork. First thing I thought was "I didn't know Michael Keaton was in Shawshank"

I like the way the LE looks.

Cool artwork, it definitely has that Struzan look to it and I like how it emphasizes the supporting characters.

Looks like another double-dip (and a good one since I bought the first version pretty cheap).

Although I never expected this at all since I knew how unlikely it was, theres was a part of me hoping that "The Sharktank Redemption" would have been included on the second disc, Great short film that needs a decent DVD release in some form.

Regardless, Ill definitely be buying this as well.

It is.

Extras will include an audio commentary by director Frank Darabont, a Shark Tank Redemption spoof
