can't wait
I already sold my snapper version in anticipation of this one. :D
wow! I'm buying! :D
Nice
IMO, one of the greatest movies of all time. Morgan Freeman is superb in one of his best roles. I can't wait for this.
Too bad it doesn't have a cast commentary, would have loved to hear Freeman talk about it.
I am keeping my Japanese DTS disc. I love the sound and the PQ is very good!
I'm going to have to double dip (triple if you count the tape).
Where'd you find this info?
Wondering what the box art for this baby is gonna be. Definitely double dipping as well. (or, like couger, triple dipping). Got the tape as well. |
First Rounders SE, and now Shawshank Redemption SE (both on 9/7) Yay!
Sweet!!
I'll be picking up the box. Can't wait for this one. Not picking up the current release is one of the hardest dvd related things ive had to do.

I think I might have to get the limited ed. box set. That sounds sweet.

I think I might pass on this one, atleast until its sold dirt cheap. I havent watched the current version enough to warrant another purchase, but who knows, maybe I wont be able to resist when I see it on the shelf.
One of my favorite movies ever stuck with a bad title.

Audio and video are excellent in the current release, will not upgrade.

When I bought my player I made a list of the movies I wanted and Shawshank was on the top of the list. Held off because I wanted an SE, it is so sweet when DVDs you've waited for happen!
I hope they run a theatrical screen in san francisco or the bay area. I would love to see it in theaters
