FYI - for those of you who use dvdaf.com, they now list both of the covers.

Got my replacement box - big improvement! Now I can smash that crappy head.
I actually like the insides better now, much easier to get the discs out than the normal tri/quad-folding things. You guys had me scared for nothing.

Anyone still waiting on their case? I sent my check in the Friday after this set came out and I still don't have it. My check was cashed on September 9th. That's 2 months.
My friend waited like a month and sent his in and had it back within 2 weeks. This is ridiculous.
Is there a number I can call? I tried the one that was on the insert but all I got was a recording of Homer. I think I may be able to call back during business hours and talk to someone. I'm guessing that they would be on west coast time and I'm east coast time so I'll have to wait until later in the day.
EDIT: I called the 800 number and was told that I would have to fax them proof of the cashed check and they would send out another one. This always happens to me. I think it may be easier just to send another check with the proof of purchase from the set. I doubt I have the receipt anymore so that won't work.

I talked to my friend yesterday who got his case a while back. He called to see if I ever got mine in. I told him no and he laughed. He then told me that he got two more cases in the mail tuesday. WTF. I'll be picking one up from him this weekend. Did anyone else get multiple cases in the mail?

I have an extra 3 disc case like the one Back to the Future trilogy comes in. When my replacement box comes (assuming it fits, it seems like the right size) I am going to use an add-a-page to give room for the 4th disc, stick the episode booklet behind that disc, put the inside package (minus the trays, of course) in the plastic as the cover and put the case into the new box. That should work: right?

also, the BTTF-type case is wider than the Simpsons box. I just held them to each other.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll work on reinforcing the inside now instead of planning on tha... well... plan. My problem with the inside isn't with the taped trays, but with the fact that the "glue" is not holding the trays to the flap, it's just falls off after a few days. Some heavy duty adheisive spray should do the trick, I'll worry about the trays falling apart when... and if... it comes to it.

Looks like we'll get a choice of packaging up front this time.

Also, check out this link. Buy.com also shows what the other new Marge packaging looks like. To me, it looks the same as the replacement for the Homer head. Look down at the peep hole for the camera. It's Marge's eyes from the plastic case. Looks like Fox is doing the same thing to Marge's box that they did to Homer's box. Pull the insides out of the plastic Homer head and place it inside the new box Fox mailed you. But now you get a choice of the outter case.

Does anyone know if they are still sending out the replacement box for Season 6? I haven't got Season 6 yet, and would like to still get the box if possible.

Anyway, no need to worry about shipping to Ireland. I have a buddy in the States I get stuff sent to him all the time.

From what I have read, there was a deal where you could send away for a new Simpsons Season 6 DVD case...like the first five seasons. I REALLY want to replace the Homer Head one. Can someone give me some more information on this? I've browsed the thread, but only hear people talking about it. How do you get a new case?
