Continue from this thread (minus the craps and attacks):

Or should this one have gone into the Cases, Covers and Inserts section?

I still want to know, and I'm sure other people do too, is there any time limit on the offer to send in for the "proper" packaging? I want it to match when I get it, but I can't afford to buy the set right away. Does anybody have any info about this?

I wasn't going to risk it, even though I was low on funds this week.

I mailed mine in yesterday. I have no idea what it looks like, but for only 3 bucks I was willing to risk it.

You'd think they'd put a pic of it on that website so we can see it before sending for it.

They probably havn't printed them up yet. The usual 4-6 weeks delivery time frame gives them plenty of time to see how many orders they get and then make a print run based on that.

Doesn't mean they don't have the artwork.

Is there a website to go to for this or only that 1800 number?

I LOVE that FOX is doing this for fans that don't like the 'Homer Head' case, but i'm worried if they don't get enough people ordering the replacement case, they won't do it for next season

OK, this worries me. I just noticed this on the very last page when you finish going through everything on the box website:

I'm surprised there isn't a picture up somewhere of the new box.

There's been speculation that the UK box shown here will be the box we get - guess we'll wait and see. I don't mind so much what the front looks like as long as it's the same digipack case and the spine art is similar. I guess I'm expecting the spine to look like the half-assed slipcover we got with the homer head box - black with burns and wiggum. The one shown above looks like a gray color scheme though...

I like this part:

The Homer Head packaging will be restricted to just a run of 50,000 and for those who are not lucky enough to snap this up will of course be able to pick up Season 6 in its original packaging.

What it should say (with just moving one word) is:

... and for those who are lucky enough to not snap this up will of course be able to pick up Season 6 in its original packaging.

So the Homer head is only a limited edition package? Well, it still sucks balls. It may look cute, but is completely impractical. My wife and I pop in a Simpsons disc almost every night, and opening that thing up every time...I don't mind the inside package with the jewel cases, but it's too delicate, and hate all the stupid inserts everywhere, and that stupid clear plastic that wraps around the head. What a mess. I think I'll wait on the old-style box until I see it. So will be it be a gatefold pack like previous season sets, rendering every bit of the Homer head package, including the jewel cases, useless? Those of you who are getting the old-style box, what are you going to do with your Homer head package?

If the head is really a limited run, I just should have bloody waited. I now am officially against these gimmicks: Homer heads, tins, cases shaped like Mars, Books of the Dead...

So because FOX is requiring the POP from the DVD set, I have to choose between paying $2.95 for the alternate case or receiving my $10 rebate from ordering this from Coconuts. Im still leaning toward the case, but its just ridiculous that they need a POP in order to buy a stinking case...as if people are going to send off to buy a bunch of empty Simpsons DVD cases. Anyone who also purchased from Coconuts know if there is a way around this??

So the stupid head is only limited-edition for R2. Crap! I've read somewhere that the delivery time for the box will be something like 4-6 weeks. Is this true?
