Getting it right seemed to take forever but here's the combined background for all the series (Enterprise - TOS - TNG - DS9 - Voyager)

Fantastic
Scaramanga, these cases look amazing. I have quite a few of these series on DVD and would love to have matching cases for them all. Here's to hoping that you make these available when you're done. Kudos.

I am willing to store all these covers on an FTP that you can link to if you like Scara. It's only 100K upload, but would help in getting them out there until something better comes along. I'm sure you're sick of getting peeps asking/e-mailing(of which i was one)/posting for these covers. Just a suggestion.
Hope they come out soon, there's some beauties in there!

Scara, thought I would mention this. Seasons 2+ of Law & Order (including the spin-offs) need to be changed from the 1inch spines to single width spines. Universal released the first season of each show on 6-Disc but the other season(s) have been 3 Disc (SVU is 4, but same difference) so in order to really be space-saving 1 (like me) would prefer the slimer versions

In the end each and every cover in the collection will be for the Nexpak 3/4/5/6/8 disc covers. I'm NOT gonna start doing conversions because pretty soon I'd end up doing the covers for all possible spine sizes and that would keep me from doing new covers (considering there's 85+ covers already so far).
I will however convert ER to the wider Nexpak template so it matches the rest of the collection. (Season 3 over here is still on 4 DS-DL discs though ...)
Anyway, with the current setup I should be able to do cover for almost every show out there AND have a nice uniform collection. There's no telling what for example Universal is gonna do with seasons of L&O which still have to be released ... they could easily switch back to 6 discs for no good reason and I'd have to redo the entire thing AGAIN. Sorry ... I may be as crazy as to start a gigantic project like this but all those disc # changes (= studios changing their minds all the time) are just a bit over the top IMO.
(by the way L&O is being released on 6 discs for each season over here)
(So you can expect 1" spine covers for all seasons of Buffy, even though season 1 consists of only 3 discs)

Star Trek Voyager finished.
Will do Enterprise as soon as it's released.
Also finished is Buffy Season 1, check the first post for previews.

1" spins are good though considering I've only just managed to get my hands on exactly that size of case in the UK for 6 disc sets.

Just curious (new to this..) Is there a tutuorial for re-creating logos using vectors? I realize it's not something anyone could do, but if you can point me toward any learning material you used, it would be greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance (and waiting patiently for these covers to be released...quit teasing already!)

all logos are basic shapes. Best way to go at it is place the logo(jpg) into vector program and trace over it with basic shapes and the pen tool. Very simple. Or find the vector image you need on the web.

As Michael already explained, most of the times it's just a matter of retracing an existing low-res image at hi-res. Most of the vector images out there were created by people who weren't very satisfied with scans or the likes.
It's not all that hard and practically everybody can learn it. Just takes time and some patience. As far as software goed most decent graphic editing progs support vectors. A few examples are probably Coreldraw, PSP and Photoshop (at least I suppose it supports vectors) Then there's software like Adobe Illustrator made specifically for designing vector images, I don't use it a lot but once you get the hang of working with vectors in one prog it's easy to use it in any other prog.
The effects on the logos can be a bit harder to recreate so that's really just a matter of trial and error
