Well, they do say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
I'm not saying I did the covers you refer to, but I'm not going to lie to you in saying that Scara's designs hasn't inspired me to do something similar for my own collection.
Hes not going to do every show, and out of respect to him, they'll never see the web. That's where I agree with you - whomever the artist was that made the "Scara-ish" covers, might have sent him an email out of respect. It's the least one can do.

I just wanted to thank Scara for not only going above and beyond in creating his new site, but for being so nice in referring myself and other participants as well. I was honestly surprised, and am really grateful for it.

Thanks for the referral, Scaramanga! I have just sent in my request for an account. I look forward to joining in (and hopefully, when I'm more confident of my Photoshop skills, trying my hand at making my own covers)!

Must admit these covers are *very* impressive. I've done my own for a few of these titles, but they are rubbish compared to these Scaramanga.

I can understand why they want to do it this way, and if it was open access the usage would go sky high and there would be more chance of them appearing elsewhere.
I'll have to make do with my amaturish versions for the time being.
