Lang's Testament of Dr. Mabusefrom Criterion.

Incredible transfer for a 70 year old film (there are 10 year old films that don't look this good). One of the best commentaries ever. A second version of the film. And a copius amount of relevant and interesting extras.

I voted for Master and Commander. ROTK is my favourite movie from the list (and the EE will undoubtedly get my DVD of the Year award) but M&C SE had superior special features and packaging.

Of what I've bought this year, I'd go with Master and Commander. My vote may change if I ever get around to purchasing the Panic Room 3-disc SE.

I voted M&C, but I agree Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 disc is fantastic. Very complete and comprehensive set with good transfer and sound (although not nearly as good as M&C, but that's a pretty high standard).

Master & Commander by far. Came out same day as standard release and has the nicest packaging.
