i voted for the good the bad and the ugly...great movie, and it has very cool packaging, great promo cards, awesome special features (documentaries), and an extended remastered cut of the movie etc...
was expecting more (in quality) from panic room - obviously there are a ton of extras in the set, but so many were "this is how to make a movie - film school" type features - special effects etc. - while many may be interested in these types of features, i am more interested in interviews with cast and crew (and yes, i know there was some on there) - i guess i was just let down - plus they took off the DTS track....
master and commander was also excellent...as was freaks and geeks...LOTR ROTK was good for a first release, but as we all know, it is nothing compared to the relase we will see later in the year...
just my $.02

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre ('03).
Great, informative documentary, 3 audio commentaries, metal face plate and "crime scene" cards, deleted scenes. Superb dvd for a decent and fun movie.

I voted Other, partly because I don't have any of the other 9 DVDs listed.
I'd have to go with Torch Song Trilogy, since it's my all-time favorite film, and I'm thrilled to finally have it on DVD. It could have been bare-bones (and it practically is) and it'd still be my favorite, but I really enjoyed Harvey Fierstein's commentary.

Then my vote goes to Stray Dog: Criterion - great extras & it's about time this was released.

I picked Rules of the Game.
By far the best film released on DVD this year (or ever), and perhaps the most extensive selection of extras yet offered on a Criterion disc of a classic film (athough Rebecca has HOURS of audio). Excellent transfer of the best surviving elements. Classy packaging.

Freaks & Geeks. I only have the 6-disc set and it's just awesome. I can only imagine what the yearbook edition must be like. Well, one day when I hit lotto...
