I cancelled my replacement Monster Legacy set from Amazon to replace my damaged Dracula discs. I then bought just the Dracula Legacy set, switched out the discs, and returned the scratched Dracula set to my local retailer.

Got my set from DDD, and one of the Frankenstein disks is badly scratched. They want me to mail the entire Monster Legacy set back to them, although only one set is affected. You know that at least one disk of the replacement set will be scratched, so I'll have to send it back *again*, etc. I'd hate to go to the store and drop another $20 on a non-floater Frankenstein set when I've already bought it, but that's what I might have to do. Any chance that Universal would let me exchange the damaged disk/set?

I just bought a replacement Frankenstein set at a local retailer then exchanged the scratched Frankenstein on that receipt for an unscratched copy and gave the extra one to a friend. To much hassle to return the entire Legacy set in the mail.

I love this set and even with the hassle and expense of replacing the scratched discs I still think it well worth the cost.

I ended up exchanging my damaged Dracula at Wal-Mart. Oddly enough, all the ones in the racks were floaters. Finally after 2 emails, this is the response from Universal for those interested in exchanging:

We apologize for the problem you are experiencing with your Monster Legacy DVD. Please return the affected discs only, do not include the packaging, along with a copy of this correspondence and the following information:

1. Your UPS shipping address (U.S. and U.S. Territories)
2. Mailing address (APO/FPO addresses only)
3. Daytime phone number.
4. A copy of your receipt, if you have it.

Send to: Monster Legacy PO Box 224468 Dallas TX 75222

Please make sure to return the disc using a traceable shipping method, as we cannot be held responsible for items lost in transit.

Please allow six weeks for replacement.

We appreciate your patronage and hope that you will continue to enjoy
Universal releases.

Sincerely,
