No DTS, just DD 5.1 but the track is really good. Good bass and everything. Just played a little bit of the chapters "27 through 30" and the zion "stuff" and picture quiality is great, audio is great ... just a simply good demo DVD for those looking for a new one.

I'm still surprised at how many people pick up DVDs without looking at it. I guess i'm still a kid in a candy store when it comes to it... stand there staring at every inch of the case holding my treasures. Hehe.

My loot from Best Buy:
Matrix Reloaded - 14.99
Sound of Music (2 disc) - 20.99
Price match Toys R Us buy 2, get 1 free deal.
Get Revolutions - 15.99, free.
Subtract 16 some dollars from a gift card, and I picked up all three movies for less than 20 bucks.
Just finished watching the extras. Not bad, but I can't wait till the boxset comes out so I can see more behind the scenes footage.
As for some people not paying attention to what they pick up, I spent a good five minutes trying to find a nice copy of Reloaded that didn't have wrinkles or indentations in the case.

Definately a reference quality DVD. Bass is deep, but some of the conversations aren't loud enough. Special features are OK and it is nice to have the trailers on the disk (instead of on a seperate disk like the Best Buy exclusive that came with Reloaded)

I ordered it through a link on Best Buy's website.
Hours later, I figured I should check to make sure I ordered the widescreen edition. It's fullscreen.
Now I've been waiting for 30 minutes on their phone system trying to see if I can change the damn thing to widescreen.

Does everyone else's DVD exhibit this? Just wondering, as it's a unique sound...

I think that's intentional, as the "train" is not supposed to exhibit the same characteristics of an actual train, because Neo is trapped between the Matrix and the real world. You'll notice, as Neo is standing on the platform edge while the train whooshes by, neither his hair nor coat is blown by any wind. I guess it's supposed to be a "virtual" train.
Incidentally, thanks for the various confirmations of the sounds at 14:15. I feel better that it's not just on mine.

I'd say a good 30% of the posts to this thread are about people accidentally getting the Full Screen version. When will people learn to CHECK FOR WIDE SCREEN BEFORE BUYING!? It seems simple enough to me.

Amen bruthah! Testify! I was thinking the same thing, lol. Yeah, if you're a DVD freak... er.... afficionado (that wasn't a slam, I'm CRAZY about DVD's) rather, you would think that all these widescreen buffs, would learn to check the product they're purchasing before driving home with it. Widescreen is definitely the way to go... and speaking of which, I can't believe the people who didn't realize the 'chopping off the head' joke. Let's grow a sense of humor already, lol.
The Matrix Revolutions, even though it's not the best movie in and of itself, is definitely a quality DVD. I didn't care all too much for some of the minor aspects of the special features disc, aka the same complaint with the white rabbit thing. But the movie is definitely something worth talking about when it comes to its picture quality and sound. Makes me glad I spent all that money on a 32" flatscreen for my bedroom using S-Video cables and also having 5.1 surround sound. I wasn't really all that impressed when it came to the first Matrix film. It was pretty decent, but definitely nothing like this. Reloaded was pretty decent as far as its sound, but man, Revolutions, definitely a fun experience if you wanna tinker with your sound.

Speaking of which, is anyone noticing that the Merovingian's face alternates between a lighter and darker green hue in the club scene when there's a closeup of his face? I wasn't sure if it was a strobe light in the background or some other intentional device, but I didn't seem to notice that when in the theater but it struck me as really obvious on the DVD.

My Wal-Mart usually has more WS out than FS, but I was actually hard-pressed to find a WS copy on the Revolutions stand. I checked three sides and came across nothing but FS, finally finding one WS at the bottom of the fourth side.
I was about to post this as well. I saw Revolutions a few times in theaters, but I don't recall if that happened or not. I just assumed there was a strobe.
At any rate, it's a great DVD, and I like the movie more each time I view it.

I don't think the dialog is too low. The disc appears to be recorded on the soft side, so I increased the volume accordingly. This brings everything up to where it should be... effects are visceral (like others mentioned, your sub gets a serious workout), and dialog is intelligible.

It was the strobing lights of the club that made the Merovingian's face light up in green and normal hues. I remember that being the case when I saw the film at the theaters.
