Don't know about anyone else, but I found some of the stuff on the There's Something More About Mary to be pretty horrible especially the interview with Harland Williams.

Land Before Time Anniversary Edition. Great movie (full frame but that's its oar). How do I Find Things (a 53 second feature showing you how to use a dvd remote control). 4 Sing a Long songs from 4 different cheapquels, and a few other of the most insulting "special features" ever.

Off the top of my head......

- The Visual Effects Lab on T3

- Biographies (I wouldnt call it a bonus feature)

- All those text based bonus features (Like Scripts). yeah like im really going to sit for hours and read that on my TV. They should at least narrate it to make it interesting and less headache inducing.

- Keira Knightly's commentary on POTC. If she wasnt so god damn cute id have been really annoyed with her

Dumb and Dumberer: the movie versionms where they speak german and where the film is rotated 90 degrees for the first 5 minutes of the movie...pretty dumb.

Similarly, in Freddy Got Fingered, the 2 minute pg version or whatever it was... kinda stupid.

I'm going with the clips from "Beverly Bonner's Laugh Track" on the Basket Case SE. Not only one of the most painful things I've ever watched, but one of the worst things ever in the history of the world. No offense to Beverly Bonner of course.

Have there been anti-drug ads on any DVDs? I know they've been appearing in theaters lately. If so, then this is absolutely the worst, most objectionable extra out there.

Ouch!

You're not too far off the mark. I just bought this from DDD for $7.97.

I haven't seen a good film in a two disc set for under $8.00 at DDD for a very long time, so apparently everyone figured out that the second disc was a waste, and they dropped the price.

Irregardless of the poor second disc, I am thrilled that I got this exemplary film for this price, even if the second disc is coaster material.

The rapper segment on Scarface....although I have to say that the Carrot Top commentary on Rules of Attraction sounds like it could be worse....

I always find it lame when filmographies are noted as an extra.

The easter egg on Disc 2 is priceless. It makes the whole SE package worthwhile.

On the Special Features menu, press left to highlight the BAR sign.

Thanks for the tip! Whenever DDD gets around to mailing it, I'll try it out.

New entry for me!

I just finished listening to the commentary on Resident Evil. Michelle Rodriquez's comments were annoying at best and laughable the rest of the time! Of particular note, when she started talking about the dangers of "genealogy" experiments. And I lost track of the number of times she used the word "sick" to describe good and bad and everything in-between. Miserable!

Someone has to explain to me why this was funny. I didn't find it funny at all. In fact, they weren't even REAL bad actors. They were actors trying to be bad. So amazingly unfunny.

SCARFACE: Anniversary Edition (2-disc)

Heh. The worst thing about that was it was entirely BS and done only to promote their "Inspired by Scarface" pitiful rap CD.

I interviewed MC Ren, who has a song on the CD a few months ago, and I aksed him about the "Inspired by Scarface" stuff and he said it was nonsense and that the record company should have contacted him before they decided to tell the public what he and other rappers were inspired by. I didn't ask him if he had seen the movie but he reffered to it as "some damn script written for Al Pacino" so I would guess not.

I hate production stills. I just watched the movie, no reason to see still images of said movie again as an extra. That's what the pause button is for.

The fact that trailers only on dvds are considered "bonus material" is pretty bad.

I understand where you're coming from, but I must say that I just can't stop watching this. I show it to my friends whenever I can. The mind-numbing awfulness is something that must be shared i.e. exposed to others, so that they can feel the horror I've experienced.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned DVD-rom bonus materials. The only thing worse are those DVD-rom features that require going to some website to access bonus material that should have been on another DVD.

Compared to these, everything else mentioned so far are just minor irritations or inconveniences.

If there is any justice in the universe, there's special level of Hell just for the numbnuts who developed and instituted DVD-rom garbage.

Speaking AS an actor, I would say they totally were. And it's really hard to find actors who are serious enough about their craft who haven't read this play or at least read mamet. these people so obviously didn't know what they were doing. And it seemed like they were too dumb. Maybe they just dragged people in off the street, though I doubt it. That would ruin the whole point of the "joke." Just really stupid.
