Have the 2 disc tin UE. Got the EE. Will bring one or both to have Stan Winston sign it.

SideShow 06-06-03 08:23 PM

I'm extremely happy with my Ultimate Edition so I passed on this.

areacode212 06-06-03 09:24 PM

I also passed on the EE, since I remain happy with my (cardboard) Ultimate Edition. I even popped it in to watch the credits sequence today.

mljones99 06-06-03 10:11 PM

I haven't bought it... yet. DDD is sold out so I waiting, plus I have my current Ultimate Edition on eBay.

Jamers 06-06-03 10:26 PM

Scratch my previous reply. I broke down and bought it at Target for $14.99 after seeing the UE/EE comparison screen shots in the other post. Sorry, I'm weak.

hoyalawya 06-06-03 10:39 PM

Already have the UE. I don't have a HDTV but may buy one in September. Therefore, I will wait to get it from Columbia House.

madcougar 06-06-03 10:40 PM

passed

Anywhere we can check this week's big dvd sales chart?
I would like to know how T2 did.

eedoon 06-07-03 12:20 AM

I'm too poor to buy any DVD at the moment. :(

shaggy 06-07-03 01:00 AM

I bought it and I'm not even a huge fan of the film, but walmart had it for 13.44 so i said why not. I think the James C commentary might be cool

cultshock 06-07-03 01:18 AM

I'm happy with my 2 disc UE tin for now. We all know that one day, when HD DVD finally arrives, it will be rereleased yet again in that format and when that time comes, then I will probably rebuy.

DVD Smurf 06-07-03 01:36 AM

Thanks to CH I got the good ol' one cheap.... :)

jiggawhat 06-07-03 02:16 AM

I was a bit skeptical considering this was my first ever double dip, but the picture quality compared to the first one is like night and day. I couldn't believe how good it was. Now only if they had a DTS-ES track...

lisadoris 06-07-03 07:17 AM

No double dipping for me. I might rent the EE just to hear what Cameron has to say but I'm happy with the UE (esp the DTS track).

Simpson Purist 06-07-03 07:59 AM

I didn't get it, I am completely happy with my Ultimate Edition.

techdude0912 06-07-03 08:08 AM

I feel that the ultimate version is good enough, I feel that this is another way for the studios to "milk" us...

Deckard-10 06-07-03 08:16 AM

I passed on the new one as well. &nbsp The "Ultimate Edition" is good enough for me.

cactusoly 06-07-03 08:28 AM

Looks like it may have been a mistake by the studio to release yet another edition of T2..... by the way I passed too, I have UE

ellone 06-07-03 08:29 AM

I already had the UE with the tin case, so I passed on the EE.

hgar78 06-07-03 08:40 AM

no double dipping here.

BILLinGA 06-07-03 09:37 AM

I passed as well. I am happy with the UE and I saw no reason to rebuy.

llzackll 06-07-03 09:49 AM

Already have the 2 disc UE in a tin case. The picture on the UE is almost perfect in my opinion. No reason to "upgrade" to the extreme edition. Also, the "High Definition" version on the EE is nothing to write home about, especially if you have a computer that runs below 9Ghz.

Laser Movies 06-07-03 11:04 AM

I own the 2 disc UE version and passed on the EE. I might consider getting the EE later if it becomes available at Columbia House as an enrollment title.
