I really like Wilding so glad my subset suggestion of it was picked up. I'll comment more after re-watching but here's my original comments on it from 2019:
Wildling (2018, 92 minutes) ★★★★★★½✰✰✰ From the engagingly cryptic introduction to it's more average middle Wilding flirts with overly familiar plot elements but ends up working despite those with a fantastic finale and some neat creature effects. Seems to get weaker as it goes along and doesn't try to avoid being predictable.

Wildling uses the same "onset of menstruation = savagery" you see in films like The Company of Wolves and Ginger Snaps. I thought it was well done and well acted, but you could see the plot unfolding conventionally with no surprises. The theme song at the end by the former lead singer of 4 NonBlondes isn't half bad

Overall, I liked the movie. It didn't reinvent the wheel or anything. It stuck close to most werewolf tropes, but it felt like they added some more folk horror elements.

I really liked the look of this film and the creature effects. Strong performances all around (Dourif never disappoints). Like others said, it doesn't really tread new ground, but I was into it throughout. I'd give it ***1/2 out of *****.
Sidenote: Those are some uninspired movie posters.

The psychological approach to werewolfish is surreal and refreshing. That murders aren’t emphasized as much as the mind warp mental battle with symbolism and flashbacks. I don’t usually like backstory heavy exposition that seeks to explain the motives of whichever characters (rather than showing them in a fleshed present scene) but Wilding is uses backstory well.
Actress Bel Powley is brilliant with varied nonverbal and nails it as a relatable innocent werewolf. The characters are mostly likeable and that goes a long way (versus movies like Witchfinder General or Carrie where so much of everyone is a jerk). It’s a cool twist on the rabid pitchfork villager tropes.

Despite the really bad YouTube stream, I really enjoyed this a lot. I might pick up the bd. One of my favorites from the subset that I’ve never seen.

I've been collecting these IFC Midnight titles for some time, and glad to see this one getting some love. I liked how this one came at another angle from Ginger Snaps. Child raised in limited environment is dropped into modern society. We get to see the primitive, unvarnished responses. Didn't realize that was Liv Tyler. Used to think that poster on Netflix was Cillian Murphy.

Similar to what others have said, I really enjoyed it. Very well done, but not very inventive. Some great performances, and one I’ll likely watch again.

Brad Dourif was good but his character vacillated on Anna too much -- kill her, save her, kill her, save her unborn. I did not understand the motivations of Wolf Man either but I guess Anna needed to be told about her origins and got assistance from him at the end. Overall I enjoyed it.
