Well, this is the first time I've visted this thread. I saw someone post the sale over at AVS and immediately started ordering. I could not get free shipping unless I clicked through the "secret sale" email they sent me the other day, so I kept useing that link.
I also learned a big lesson from last time they had a sale on BRs. That time I placed one huge order and they TOTALLY F'd it up BIGTIME. They split up the order and changed the prices turning a $200 order into a $450 order.
This time I ordered only 2 titles at a time. My time was VERY limited. I was getting ready to go work security at the HOF balloonfest and I had about a half an hour till I had to leave. I was able to get 5 orders in before I left. Of course I didn't get home till 12:30, so the deal was then dead .

One day only?! WTF?!

Well, suddenly this morning I have two duplicates of one of my orders. They weren't in order history yesterday or last night, but there they are today... already supposedly "processing", so I can't cancel online, and the call center number says they're only there on weekdays.

So how much funcash did you guys rack up? I went from 0 to $66. Yes I went buckwild but I took care of a good portion of my preorders.

This funcash is no good to me unless it can be used for blu-rays. Does anybody know? I might be willing to trade it if not...Guess I can make a post in the For Sale threads...

i have been getting juno special edition dvd's as free dvd's (as part of bogo's) or with the fun cash i earned on this bogo (which i could get one free blu-ray). they seem to at least sell on ebay consistently in the $10-$15 range. it's better than nothing.

Just checked the status of my order, and the free Close Encounters Blu-Ray Item/Selection is now listed as No longer available with a price of $0.00

I've checked mine like half a dozen times and sometimes it says the right title name, and sometimes says no longer available. I think it is just the new website glitching.

This morning that happened to me with Mr. Brooks. Now it's back. Probably just the usual CH glitchery.

So is this deal dead? I should really check this subforum more often.

Yes, it's dead . It was a one day sale.

It seems they frequently run these one day sales on Fridays, so keep on the lookout.

I wonder if they intended for the B1G1 to count for Blu-Ray or if it was a glitch? I massively pillaged CH yesterday with 6 orders. I feel like a Viking. I can't wait for the spoils of war to arrive in those little brown boxes. I need a cigarette.

so i placed 2 orders...the first order, which they charged twice does not even show up...the second does. weird

just to give everyone an update. My dup order was automatically credited back to my account. Both my orders are up. 3 avail. and 3 pre orders. So far Lost boys, Cuckoos nest and The Bank Job are shipping today per cust. service and Transformers, Sweeney Todd and Speed racer will ship up avail. The one thing i did notice is they took all my fun cash away. Oh well

I just got another 1 day only B1G1 email for today, I haven't tried it with a code yet to see if it combines, but I'll let you know.

OK, it didn't work with Blu or with a free shipping code, so no big deal.

i have a large negative fun cash balance now (almost double what i earned with the bogo) -- actually i believe i have a larger negative fun cash balance than what i have ever earned (and redeemed). i think it is about 25% more {i.e. if i had earned about $40 in fun cash since opening my account (and i've redeemed roughly $40 of the fun cash i've earned), my negative fun cash balance is now about $50}.

Has anyone actually had anything ship yet?

My Blu-Ray's of the Harold & Kumar movies have been sitting at Scheduled to Ship for 2 days.

All mine still say processing, processing, processing...

my large negative funcash balance is now only about half as big a negative balance. columbia house shipped my batman begins limited edition gift set about a week after it was released, so i will not be surprised if it takes a week for things to ship. when i pre-ordered the BBLE gift set about a month before it was released, it showed as scheduled to ship for at least the first week after it was ordered (if not the entire month that it was pre-ordered).

you also have to realize that it take columbia house 3-4 days for their website to update. i typically receive dvd's before it shows them as shipped on the columbia house website. all my pre-orders are showing as shipping (everything else is processing). i believe harold and kumar is a pre-order (was released today), so i am not surprised that you have it showing as scheduled to ship.

Me too. By CH standards I'm surprised I didn't receive them yesterday.

Haven't received a shipping notice yet but 2 of the titles i ordered are now listed as back ordered (The 2 Harold and Kumar movies)

as of today 2 out of 3 of my orders shipped today. Lost boys is processing..the other 3 are pre orders...So yea they are slow but coming. They processed Mon and Tues and shipped today
