Quantum Leap Season 3 $10. I sold mine on ebay years ago when I found out about music changes, but I do like the packaging, so I may pick them up to house the discs if I ever transfer my vhs recordings.

One of my all time favorite movies, I almost picked up a couple extra copies at Big Lots yesterday to give as gifts. I didn't, but I almost did.

Pearl St Tacoma Wa got a large display of................. cd's!

Unfortunately, really crappy titles & at $5. As I told the clerk, I wish them luck, they're going to need it (Considering what BB, Wallymart, Target, etc sell for $5 these days).

Big Lots Black Friday ad is out. In addition to the $1.88 DVDs, they're also going to have some 4 film collections for $4 on Saturday. The ad shows mostly the Warner Bros. 4 film favorites, but also a couple of Universal ones (Jamie Foxx and Ron Howard). Maybe a few TCM collections will also show up?

I used to spend a ton at BL (several Hundred $'s a month). Spend almost nothing now.

Regarding MacKenna's Gold DVD, I have yet to find a widescreen version in any store.

Same here. With rare exceptions now we just buy supplies and things. (Reminds me of Star Trek: "We is condemning food, things and supplies").

I don't even remember last year's ad to know if this is worse since I haven't seen the full BL ad. I know that last BF I bought very few $1.88 DVDs. A few years ago they had some good TV seasons for $6 each, and I bought those. Right now I don't get excited by $10 TV seasons or $3 DVDs. Even when those are on a 20% discount, I'm not too interested, and unless they are great titles (which these aren't) I'm not very interested in $1.88 DVDs. I'll probably go to BL, but it'll be low/last priority.

What about all of the other B&M stores? Unfortunately all the stores earlier and earlier ads are making it impossible to sleep all of Thursday night and Friday morning.

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Last year on Thanksgiving day they put out the $6.00 TV seasons. I got the first six seasons of HAWAII FIVE O cheaper than the previous price for just one season. It was one of my best Thanksgiving weekend buys.

I made out like a bandit with the MGM $1.88 titles last year but this year's crop, unless there are some surprises, just look like retreads of stuff they've stocked for months.

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

The store on 17/92 and Lake Mary Blvd. in Sanford Fl. had someof the $1.88 titles out already. Picked up:

Banshee
Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist
Charlie Wilson's War

Saw Wacky Races, my favorite cartoon as a kid. Already have owned one for some time, but actually found it hard leaving it there. This store finallyp ut up the tall cardboard display. The fountain type bins had nearly been destroyed by employees over stuffing them with inventory. The wire rack was back, with the dvds lined up like books where you could read the spines. I'm sure it wont last, but it was awesome being able to scan all four sides in minutes.

I'll call a manager I know next week, & get their opinion on what they've received. Will post here if I get any info.

Yeah, I got some great deals last Thanksgiving, and in 2010 in particular with TV series. I hope that even though it's not in the ad, they will get some TV box sets in...besides the Waltons S1.
I'd pay $10 in a heartbeat for some shows, most seasons of Mannix are still $30. Ironside too.
Here's the ad if anyones's interested..

Yep, lots of older, obscure films showed up at that price last year. Better than most of the $3 DVDs. Films I've never seen anywhere on DVD.

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Will have to go stop by my Big Lots later today or tomorrow and just see what they have.

Was hoping the ad would have had more TV seasons listed. Was hoping to see some listing for JAG or Nash Bridges or some others. I have a few seasons of each and am trying to fill them out as cheaply as possible.

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Haven't been a BL in a while, but stopped in today and found a couple of $3 TV sets mixed in among everything else:

Huff: Season 1
'Til Death: Season 1
My Own Worst Enemy: Complete Series

Perhaps they've been mentioned before. All blind buys for me. Also grabbed After Hours, since I remember someone praising it in this thread previously.

^Those were here too. I'd gotten a defective copy of 'Til Death the last time those were at BL and was able to exchange it for a new copy when those showed up a few days ago.

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

^Those "spots" should clean off nicely with a soft (micro-fiber) cloth and rubbing alcohol. My bad disk looked pristine with no scratches or visible flaws and the issue was a single episode that would not play without stops/jitters/hangs/shutdowns.

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

Found copies of Sponge Bob S4v1, S4v2, S5v1, and S5v2 at the NoHo store for $10 each.

Any other sets of these appearing?

Re: Big Lots Part 10 - List your FINDS here (NO trades)

My copy of "Til Death" was like that too, I've also seen similar problems on other Sony TV series that came in thin-paks. Of course it will probably be several decades until I have time to watch any of them. (But that's why I at least open all my discs right away, so if any look like they're going to be unplayable I can get that taken care of.)

Wow, nothing? By this time last year I was already done with my BF Big Lots shopping.
