I ordered them too but it won't shipped until in 9 to 14 days so I bet it will not be in the slim packaging but if I get it first before you do, I will let you know!

Did anybody else gets some odd changes during your checkout? My order shipped e-mails said full price, but when I went to Amazon.com throughout the day it said I had claimed those items already.

What was the lightning deal price on vampire diaries earlier today?

I think batman under the red hood will have a lightning deal at 1630-2030 PST on Monday. Any idea what the prices wil be? Price now is 8.99 for 2-disc, 5.99 for single disc, 10.49 for BR. Pretty good, it's supposed to be lower on monday?

Vampire Diaries was 12$. I couldn't find enough reviews to convince me on that one.

The single disc was $1.96 at Wal-Mart this morning.

Vampire Diaries IMO is one of the best serialized dramas on TV right now...and yes, I'm serious. Just go into TV Talk and pull up a few Vampire Diaries threads and you won't find much negative criticisms at all. Season 1 was a solid introduction to the show/characters and is so worth $12.99

I tried looking for it today at Target, but they were all sold out.

Yes, True Blood season 1 and this have been at that since this morning, I really hope it stays until Sunday so I can group it with some other items I am ordering.

Re: Amazon Black Friday Week Deals

Anybody else seeing extremely-fragmented orders from Amazon right now? Almost every single item I've ordered is being shipped separately from different warehouses. The shipping costs have got to be killing them right now.

Yep. I have Prime so for some items I bought it instantly. Then I realized I might piss off my postal carrier. So even for some of my larger orders Amazon is practically shipping the items out individually. It seems like they're taking the "Don't group - send as soon as available" option a bit too literally because I'm sure they could have waited on some of these orders, then shipped them together while still making the Prime 2 Day deadline.

i'm wondering if the $9.99 lightning price is a misprint because it doesn't make sense.

I've got one of these that's a thorn in my side at the moment. I ordered 7 items. 6 shipped together, while 1 was sent individually. The 6 items were scheduled for delivery yesterday and arrived as promised. The 7th is scheduled for delivery on Tuesday. Here's the kicker though...the 7th item had actually arrived at my local UPS distribution center before the other 6 did. I've contacted both Amazon and UPS and they won't do a thing about it. So, my package is going to be about 20 miles away from me for 5 days before I actually receive it.

I guess you're not a 'my glass is 6/7 full' kind of guy.

Don't know if this helps, but when I ordered SPR as a lightning deal for $9.99 the order shipped e-mail had the full price ($20.99) listed next to the item, but then subtracted the $11.00 under promotions as "lightning deal". And the total price was $9.99.

Yes, the same here. They are splitting up my orders too.

This is what normally happens when you order something under a lightening deal when you checkout. Nothing unusual for me though in terms of shipping. I think I've ordered a dozen things over the past couple of days.

Also when you put a lightning deal in your cart, it should say "special price" followed by the discounted price underneath the regular price. This is in your cart before you get to final checkout, where you should see the amount of the discount subtracted as described above.

Re: Amazon Black Friday Week Deals

Spent way too much on Amazon BF this year (not even including the iPod Touch I got for $175 after included giftcard):

Nurse Jackie S1
The Prisoner Complete
Dexter S3
Mary Tyler Moore Show S1
Lie to Me S1
The Fringe S1
Big Bang Theory S3
George Eliot Collection
Dollhouse S1
Burn Notice S1
Cranford: Return to Cranford
Ellery Queen Mysteries Complete

We should be set for TV watching until at least April.

Damn, I was away from my PC when The Prisoner came up. Tried to order on my palm phone but couldn't get the purchase to go through.

Re: Amazon Black Friday Week Deals

Looking at the deals coming up in the little countdown area, it seems either Dazed Criterion won't be added or they forget to add it, thus accounting for the constant 9.99 price.

Now i see it has indeed gone down to 8.99. thanks to all, or i would have missed it.

Actually, they adjusted the price down to $8.99. From what I can see though, it's not going to ship for 2-3 weeks.

That Dazed and Confused deal is going fast. Was already at 78% sold within minutes of going live when I first noticed it.
